Fast preparation of food. Egg with sausage biscuit and strawberry biscuit tasted very fresh. Somewhat disappointed with coffee. It tasted noticeably weaker than in the past. Is this a cost saving move?
Seeing Rise come to Carrboro was exciting. Their food is top notch, all of it. I have to vote Sunrise as the best in town for chicken biscuits though. Rise is a close second and awesome. They went to a self order screen system a while back and I am not a fan. The staff has always been really fantastic, but I really wish one of them was how I interacted instead of with a screen. On my last visit, my son and I were first in the door (and only ones) in the morning. It took over 25 minutes to get our food. If it weren't for the friendly staff I would have asked for my money back out of principal. Longer open hours would be great too. I trust my latest experience was an anomaly.
Delicious southern biscuit place where you may recognize some menu items from other breakfast chains, but note these are done scratch made. Interesting side options including fried okra, cheese grits and pimento cheese. Sweet treats include beignets, doughnuts and blueberry biscuits.
I’ve been going to Rise for years, since before their not-so-recent restaurant remodeling. AMAZING biscuit sandwiches. My favorite is the Nashville hot (veg) chicken, but you can’t go wrong with most the options on the menu. It is a little pricey but the taste and quality backs it up. The donuts are on par though, not notable.
They have an online order or kiosk order-only system, no person at a cash register.
Super quick and delicious! These are the best biscuits I’ve had in a while and their righteous chicken is great too. The cheddar biscuit isn’t gummy at all- just super flaky and light. The chunks of cheddar are baked so they’re sort of hard, but it adds a great flavor!
I got their righteous chicken biscuit and a vanilla donut for less than $10.
It came out within a few minutes and it seemed like they had quite a few orders to fulfill.
