I was a member with O2 on and off for 7 years. Paid a for a year and a half upfront. Terminated my membership back in August of last year due to relocation and yet to be refunded for the remainder of what I paid upfront. It’s not even about the money but about the principe of it all. It inflects poor communication and management. If this matter were to be resolved I would gladly change my review. I was a loyal and happy customer for many years. But as it stands. This is my opinion.
Update: DJ reached out and apologized about the matter and assured me it would be resolved.
Wow! What a lovely gym. The staff here is superb, the front desk workers have fabricated a welcoming, inviting environment. DJ, Mariah, Hanna and so many more make my day with their endearing greetings. I can not express highly enough how clean the gym is. Nate and the rest of the team of cleaners do a great job at making an overall clean experience for members.
From top to bottom the best gym I’ve gone to. The facility is always clean and well setup with a great variety of machines and free weights. They offer a lot of extra benefits to your membership that make it a worthwhile purchase in my opinion.
The staff is very friendly and makes every effort to be both welcoming and accommodating. Overall, 10 out of 10 place to work out.
After completing my 21 day trial, I immediately paid for a 6 month membership. This gym fulfills my wants and needs. From the variety of classes, personal trainers always on hand to answer my questions, and the sauna/steam rooms (main reason I joined). So many positive attributes about this club. They are friendly and follow up with their members, including a sweet hand written card which was nice to receive! But it does have its flaws I will say. Unfortunately the sauna is not turned on in the morning, so when I arrive to the gym I have to turn up the heat and wait for it to reach temp, this takes at least 30 minutes. My commute is 30-40 minutes depending on time of day or gym I go to (I live in between two). I’ve called in the morning a couple times asking if the sauna can please be turned on, though have been told if a female is not working then it can not be turned on due to its location; in the ladies locker room. Another complaint I have is that the steam room is not operational at the seaboard location, this was not discussed at any point when I paid for my 6 months up front. I have also driven the 30/40 minutes to attend a yoga class only to find out it’s been canceled for the day, this has happened twice! Aside from the trainers who cancel their classes, all others have been very pleasant to work with! Now I know it may not seem like a big deal, but for someone who has made the leap towards bettering their lifestyle through attending a “fancy” gym, it has been a bit of a drag that these disappointments keep popping up. I’m less than a month into this 6 month commitment and have already considered moving elsewhere that has reliable sauna and steam rooms.
It would be nice to know when the steam room will be up and running again at the seaboard location, no one can seem to give me any answers on this matter, including management.
Today was my first day there after hearing about it from my family, they were super welcoming and polite. They gave me a tour and explained the different machines and areas. The quality there is impeccable and they have the most up to date equipment and cleanliness. If your thinking about starting your fitness journey I would definitely recommend trying it out here. So far a absolutely 11/10!
