“This was my first time at Sammy's Tap & Grill. We has a business lunch with 5 of us. Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. He made a recommendation based on what one of my co workers was looking for. He was spot on. It is definitely a college bar. If your looking for a relaxed atmosphere and good food Sammy's is the place for you. On a side note NC States head women's basketball coach was having lunch 2 tables over from us.”

“I moved here last July and I've really enjoyed living here. The maintenance folks are exceptional. I've only placed a couple requests but each time someone came by within 24 hours and everything was fixed the same or next day. The maintenance folks are really friendly too. I feel like both the office and maintenance staff have taken COVID seriously, and they always make sure to wear their masks. The complex is also very dog friendly and my dog has really enjoyed playing with other dogs at the bark park. Having Lake Johnson within walking distance is a great benefit too.”

“I saw a glowing review of this place on YouTube, and remembering how much I loved bubble tea, I put this on my "gotta try list." This place uses all natural, fresh, organically sourced ingredients to make their beverages. They have a good selection of favorite crafted drinks to choose from that give you a taste of coffee, tea, coconut, or sugar cane. You have the freedom to combine a combination of ingredients to make your best drink. This high degree of freedom seems like a boon, but looking at the menu board can paralyze you with choice overload. The best thing about this place is the earthy taste of their beverages. You will not get a high-fructose corn syrup, super sweet beverage here. You will get a beverage that links you directly to the raw Vietnamese coast, topical winds, and coconut trees swaying in the sun. I consider their beverages more akin to appreciating good red wine than some sweeter varieties.”

“I’ve ordered food from here through GrubHub at least 10 times. Each time the quality and portion sizes have been consistent. This has quickly become my favorite Chinese place. Food is always hot, seasoned well, cooked to perfection, and is always delivered in a very timely manner. Every dish I’ve gotten so far has not made me sick, like some of the other reviews. Which I’m thankful for, because I tend to get sick easy from food. I’m already looking forward to the next time I order.”

“I don’t normally review gas stations. Mostly they’re all the same. But this gas station here is my local go-to and has been for some time. The staff is usually attentive and friendly but today I was pretty astonished by a small act of kindness. In hindsight I wish I would have gotten her name, but today I stopped in to buy a couple packs of cigarettes, smoked one before leaving the parking lot and set the rest of my full pack on the windowsill. It wasn’t until a couple hours later I realized what I had done, and I swung by on a whim hoping they would still be there. I pulled up and to my dismay, they were not longer sitting outside, but I went inside to ask the cashier if anyone had turned them in. She turned around to where her personal belongings were put away behind the counter with a smile and pulled out a pack of Newport 100’s. It may seem like a small thing, but it wasn’t her job to set them aside in a safe place for the remainder of her shift to see if anyone would claim them. It really made my day. From the outside looking in you might think there isn’t anything special about this gas station, but I would have to argue that you’re mistaken. Most of the staff with a few exceptions make coming there for whatever you need; gas, a coffee, tobacco, a pleasure. I’m really happy to be in a neighborhood with such kind and thoughtful people. If you ever need anything and you’re out near NCSU don’t hesitate to stop in.”

“It was an evening destined for some experimentation, and we were craving Mexican fare. We wanted to venture out of our norm to try a different spot in town and chose El Cerro. We called in and spoke to a super friendly staff member who politely took our order. We asked for take-out and she said give it about 15 ton20 mins. We drove there, and as I walked in I noticed some covid related signage to keep patrons safe. As I waited I noticed there were quite a few folks there, but all following protocol sitting every other table, etc. Cleanliness was on point, which is always a plus! The hostess got my name, brought back my order, I paid and I was out the door in under 5 mins. We kept it simple, ordering 2 Tiras de Pollo entrees, which is my staple when assessing the quality of a Mexican restaurant. I opened the food bag and was appeased by some quality looking plates with some chips / salsa on the side. The Tiras de Pollo was nice, but could have used some more flavor or seasoning. Don't get me wrong, it was still good,, but could have been great. Everything else with the meal was great. Overall, I plan to venture back and try other parts of the menu soon. Don't shy away from El Cerro!”

This was a very beautiful Park and loved the hike around the lake. The boardwalk was really cool to walk and crossed and seen tons of wildlife was really cool as well.
