“I first heard about Senior Community Center of NC two years ago. I was both excited and amazed that there is a facility that offers so much assistance to both participants and their families. I was fortunate enough to join this facility and meet some of the most compassionate staff of any place I have ever worked. I am fortunate also that I get to spend my days with some incredible participants. “I think you every individual who comes here comes with their own mindset and that makes the beginning of their experience. I cannot speak for the inpatient treatment. I can only speak for my personal experience with my evaluation and wait time. I made an appointment and it took me about 40 minutes to fill out my paperwork. Then after I finished it took about 20 minutes to be seen to be evaluated. I spoke to a very sweet therapist and she was very empathetic and kind. She only left me for about 10-15 min AT MOST. I don’t even believe it was more than 11 min to be honest but there was no clock. It was very quick for me. I see many reviews of long wait times but I had made an appointment so maybe that’s the difference. I was then recommended for partial outpatient program at the triangle springs changes location where I had a very safe space to be. I learned more than I thought I would. It’s all about whether you want change or not. It’s all up to you. If you go into it with doubt hating every second then that’s what it’ll be. You need to come wanting change and better for yourself. It’s up to you.”

“Helianthus is an amazing Aba company. We have been with them since they opened. We made the tough decision to follow Bethany (our old BCBA) to this company and we are so glad we did. It is not often to find an ABA company who will work along side other therapist. Bethany and Kristen went above and beyond and had a telehealth meeting with my son's Occupational Therapist to learn more about my sons sensory needs. They took the time to learn how to be proactive and how they can incorprate sensory input into there Aba sessions. Another wonderful thing this company does is they listen to the parents. Know matter what was going on or when it was. I knew if I was having a hard time with a behavior they were always there to answer my text and help me get through it. Then they would come and have a parent training later in the week to talk about the behavior and make a plan moving forward on how to handle the if/when it happened again. I could go on and on about how great this company has been for us and how well my son is now doing. But bottom line is this company has helped us understand my son and his need they have helped him open up to the world around him. This company has become part of our family and I am forever grateful for there dedication to my son and his success.”

“My mother has been a long time resident of Cary Health Rehab for almost 22 years now. We have seen this place at its worse and it’s best. Seen a lot of staff changes over the years some good and some not so good. However my mom was just out on Hospice Care but I have to tip my hat to several of the workers there that I know cares about patient care. I 1st of all Candace McCarthy is one exceptional individual that cares for the patient and their families I haven’t seen this before in this industry. She goes way beyond her call of duties and for that I’m very grateful that she is there, what a asset Cary Health has there, I hope that they know they have a jewel there. 2nd Is Ms Ann Johnson. I wold be lost without her as well, Ann has the way she can calm mama down when no one else can. Ann has been there just about or longer than mom. She is another rare jewel that Cary Health has and I will be forever grateful to her for her caring and support she has shown us. 3rd is Larry, the admin over the facility. Larry hasn’t been there long, but I believe what he says and he gets the job done. I can honestly say he has turned the place around in a way that it was when my mom 1st arrived. I know every place has had it ups and down especially with the Covid crisis etc but I’m honored that this place was kept safe for my mom as well as the other residences there to me that speaks volumes. Now that I’m having to go thru another transition with my mom I’m grateful that I have these people in my corner I will need them because I can’t do this alone.”
