“Moved in at the beginning of August! Most (if not all) of us here are long term campers. The campground has new owners, and they're making a lot of necessary changes. We now have dog poop bags and bins, lights in important areas, the driveways are freshly lined with gravel, and the owners are extremely friendly and attentive to the needs of the residents. The campground vibe overall is quiet and calm. Most families (if not all) do not have children with them. There's a lot of talk about what's to come for Cotton Patch, so I'm excited to stick around for a while.”

The weather: beautiful, the venue: beautiful, the accommodations: beautiful, the food: delicious (we got so many compliments on it). I love that you are able to choose between the two venues which one you prefer! Daniel was more than helpful in answering his cell and email answering all of our questions and allowing us to use the buildings as we needed in any shape. We used all three cabins as well as the Lodge Rooms and that was an AMAZING feature of this venue. I have a very large family and the Red Cabin and the Hanging Rock Cabin were used for them and the groomsmen stayed overnight at the Green Cabin! They loved it! My favorite feature though, was the Bridal Suite. It was very spacious and accommodated me and my large party. However, I believe if the bride and let's say 6-7 other bridesmaids were to get ready in there, it would be a little cramped. It also wasn't that amazing to have to share the bathroom with the guests that were trickling in after a long drive that saw me pre-ceremony. But overall, that is the only small criticism I have! The pictures I attached hopefully show you the potential that Luna's Trail has to offer.”

“The Duck Smith House, I don’t even know where to start. It’s Everything I could have ever wanted staying in a Bed & Breakfast. The owners are a lovely couple and great people all around. My family and I had an incredible stay and will definitely be back for another incredible experience at the Duck Smith House. Great food, beautiful atmosphere and so much more .. 10/10 recommend! “Great renovated rooms for the price. Absolutely silent at night with the fan on. Only issue was trying to find management to extend another night as well as getting another roll of toilet paper. Given the circumstances though, the room outweighed the minor inconveniences. At the end of the day, all was well.”

“Thank you again so much for having us at The Balcony. We had the best week and loved the newly redone decks, the short walk to the beach, the quiet area of the dunes and all of the house updates. The hammocks, view from the upper deck and hot tub area were top favorite spots for our group! It was comfortable, very clean and well maintained. Perfect for three families with children to each have their own space/bathroom. The house was very well stocked and was by far our favorite house in the 4 years we've rented in the area. Jennifer was wonderfully communicative and helpful throughout our stay! I would 10/10 recommend the house as well as booking direct through people who love and care for their home away from home.”

“Very nice campground! A gem of city parks. We were in site 40 on the waterfront with W/E. We enjoyed watching all the birds and playful squirrels. Our site was somewhat level, but did require some blocks, but that’s what we carry them for! Camp hosts very friendly and helpful. Huge bundles of firewood at five dollars each. Staff leaves the office at 5:30 so it’s best to arrive prior to that. They do list reservations on the door when closed, but you don’t get the code to get out of the gate that closes at eight. Bathrooms are modern and fairly nice, with plenty of warm water, but they could’ve been a little cleaner. We felt very safe. We will stop back through. .”

“As soon as we arrived in Corolla, we knew we had reached a very special place. The Wild Horse Inn made our experience even more special! The Oliva family made us feel welcomed throughout our entire visit. We're not the only ones who feel that way, as the locals can't get enough of this place! The innkeepers have truly created a wonderful space for everyone to enjoy all year long. They have built up a great community there. We got to enjoy a Kentucky Derby party while we were there! The rooms are lovely: clean, comfortable, modern and well decorated. The gathering area downstairs is inviting and fun. The Inn is within walking distance of anything you might need while in Corolla. We are hooked and will be back again!!”

All rooms are on the ground floor. Located on Highway 52 South. Only 10 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. About three miles from downtown Mount Airy, Andy Griffith’s hometown—aka Mayberry.”

“Help! Do they ever clean the bathroom? Everything just looks old and crusty. But the one shower near the front was almost hot! Really nice spread out sites, we had no horses, but most everyone else did. Full on the weekend peaceful and empty during the week. Horse people all clean up after their steeds, it's a nice peaceful woodsy place. Oh and lots of trails!!”

“Such a beautiful place in downtown Wake Forest! It was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Hayden room! We wish we would have been able to take advantage of the hospitality offered, however, due to caring for my newborn grandson it was a place to rest for a few hours during the day and sleep at night! We walked to downtown Wake Forest which was great and really convenient! Highly recommend the B&B!!”

“Very warm and hospitable staff. They make you feel like your visiting with friends. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Shower had decent pressure and bed was comfy and clean. Be prepared to climb some stairs, or alot of stairs depending on your room, but gorgeous views of the sound are worth it. Very dog friendly establishment. Breakfast is complimentary and continental.”
