“Very charming little road side motel. Was very centrally located to the places we were going. Manger/owner was very pleasant. Room and the grounds were very clean. The a/c worked great and the water pressure in the shower was amazing! The price was very reasonable. Will definitely stay there again when I am in the area. Would recommend.”

“We came here to camp for the weekend with others that had a camper. We were hammock camping which wasn't really ideal in the RV area, but we made it work. The area was way to crowded to me. Everyone was on top of each other. The campground area itself was awesome. There are bathrooms close by. There is free mini golf. There is a little store with some camping essentials. There are hiking trails near by. We went to the other side of the creek and rented kayaks. It was only $4 per hour. I would recommend getting there earlier in the day because we got there in the afternoon and there were only two kayaks left and they were both 3 person kayaks. If I came back again, I would camp in the primitive camping area.”

“This place feels like a not so hidden gem. There's so much to do but never really overcrowded. There's a beach, canoeing, kayaking, mini golf, pedal boats, playgrounds, and hiking trails. Beautiful views, clean facilities, friendly staff and lots of fun. This is a great park for family outings and a great way to spend a summer day. Definitely a must!”

“Halls were dark, when I checked in they would not accommodate any of my request because I booked 3rd party. I usually stay at the Marriott chains hotels and have booked 3rd party with them and they always accommodate my request so it was rude to me that Wingate could not accommodate my request when I was staying there. Also went swimming and they had no towels so had to wait fro them to wash some. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable.”

Not only did we feel at home, but we were even invited to family game night and their Bible study, there is a lot of love and and genuine care about every ones well being the children where so well behaved and always answered with mam and sir ! We highly recommend you visiting to see for yourself how diverse this family is call ahead for and ask for the gold star package Wow dont know how our 2nd stay could have been any better than the 1st but wow just unbelievable the hospitality this place show!
