“Have gone here since I was a boy, took our kids here growing up, and have taken my little granddaughter once. Awesome exhibits that are very well done and interesting about state and local natural history. Great planetarium. There's a very nice nature trail at the back of the property that shouldn't be missed. They offer military, senior, and student discounts off of the already reasonable prices. Great place for all ages. Would highly recommend!”

“Great sites and fun people. All sorts of cool exhibits like... a Conestoga wagon, Spanish conquistador armor, farmers and family in vignette, cotton springs and loom, civil war artifacts, President Jackson items from his birthplace and early law career, antique 1st lady style tea cups and china, British officer uniform, etc. Add a movie theater, banquet facility and gift shop and you have a nice day trip. With the historical 100 year old cabin, wood shed, post office and gold panning mill, you can fill the rest of the day. Or go when they have an event like pirate day, tavern night or a military re-enactment. Always a fun time and you learn something!”

“I was there for the Grand Opening in late 90's. Awesome for any NASCAR fan. A must see for any Earnhardt fan. Been back many times over the years. So glad it is still open to the public, for fans to celebrate the best stock car driver in history! Always remember "The Intimidator"”

“A neighborhood converted into a park. It is still being developed, but it’s a great place to stroll around in relative wilderness.”

“What real race cars look like, all the flaws and good music. A hidden jewel, the place is amazing. The old store front was fine for me. Shouuld be on the top 10 of Charlotte destinations”

“Bob Bartels Your review will be posted publicly on the web. Learn more What a great place to visit. Not huge but well laid out and stocked with great memorabilia. The motor sports museum is on one side and the music museum is on the other side. Both are free admission but have separate donation containers. Super clean, super friendly. Push button for admission. My son the guitar player went crazy for an early rare fiberglass guitar and other items. Local N.C. musicians are featured from all genres. Lots of Mike Curb Records memorabilia. The motor sports side is stocked with vintage indy cars, sprints, stock cars and even Tim Grose's vintage corvette funny car. Well worth the trip. Close to Nascar race shops.”
