“I was here with my beloved family to take a walk and enjoy nature. It was one of the best experiences of my lifetime. The ground was very soft, my favorite because it wasn’t hard on my knees and heels. It even TASTED great. The sounds of the frogs soothed my ears so that I fell out of my year long state of depression immediately. When Daddy passed away earlier this month our family friend and funeral director advised me to go to speak with Daddys minister prior to coming to the funeral home to make the arrangements. I did so that afternoon. Without going into detail, let's just say that meeting didn't go as planned. The reason I tell you this is because of what I found the next day. My earthly Angel! This is something that I'm certain most people don't know. The couple that manage Holly Hill Cemetery are Eric and Megan Anderson. Along with Shannon, Chris and Angie who are also there to help any way they can. But here's the kicker. If you DON'T have a church or you DON'T have a minister Megan Anderson is there for you. She is a Certified Officiant. Or in my terms a Certified Celebratory Officiant. She took the reins, spent nearly 2.5 hours with me on a holiday weekend Sunday afternoon to get to know Daddy and his life. By the time of the service those in attendance thought she knew him. They were astonished to learn that the two of us just met 5 days before. The service was amazing! I want everyone to know this service is available to them and for their loved one for a small fee. Daddy had the best send off I could have ever hoped for. I wish I had a recording of it to listen time and time again. It was soothing and everyone went away with a happy heart ❤ Please remember her if you are in need. You will not regret it. Thanks for reading.”

“Access to the Haw River Trail and to the Glencoe Historic District. This is probably one of the better sections of the Haw River Trail in my opinion. Of course access for river paddling too. The river moving west has a dam in Great Bend Park so you can't paddle beyond that. The river moving east you can paddle for miles. This access has a gazebo, signage about the river accesses, and parking for about 15 cars. Gated so look at the posted hours. Trash cans here but no bathrooms.”
