“Having listened very carefully to what I needed for my small garden in Winston-Salem, which included an attractive pathway with low maintenance, flowering planting, and after an extensive site visit, Tracey created an awesome design for front and back yards together with a complete plant list and an excellent source of inexpensive sod. Tracey was very helpful when I had questions and was delightful to work with. Despite the drought we are experiencing in NC, the plants are all thriving and the garden looks beautiful. Her work is great value for money. I would thoroughly recommend!”

The set up where the playground is in the center of the park where you have a view of every field is perfect. I can let my toddler play with other children while I watch my son play ball. The concession stand is very nice. It's big with a covered shelter and plenty of eating space. Great menu choices with very reasonable prices. The field crew takes excellent care of the fields. Always a pleasant experience here at Butner Athletic Park.”

If you don't have 4WD I recommend not chancing it after heavy rains. There's a nice 3 mile round trip hike/ walk to the river. This time the river was really high and muddy due to heavy rains, but it's worth the effort no matter what the conditions.”

That being said, be sure to bring a stick to clear spider webs so you don't walk face first into a bunch like I did, especially if you go in the morning 😊 the hike to the water is less than a half mile and you can loop back and also visit the rock while down there. There are a few historic houses at the entrance that you can see also. Very peaceful place.”
