“I've been going to Grandma Hoyt's several times a week for about six months now. They have excellent ham, meatloaf, country steak, barbecue, and carrots. The restaurant is family owned and the staff always like talking to you to make you feel welcome. The restaurant has been mentioned in several publications such as "Our State" magazine as one of the best places to eat in North Carolina and I agree with those publications. The buffet is about $12 per person and a single plate is about $11 per person. For most single plates, the portions are generous enough to make the total plate weigh about a pound or maybe a little more.”

“The restaurant is well located with plenty of parking. Done in was like a ghost town but they were doing a lot of take out. It took a few minutes to get seated and be waited on but once we did the process was quick. While individual items are not marked the menu notes that gluten free options are available. Our server was very knowledgeable of what was gluten free and what could be modified to be gluten free. I’d say 2/3 if the menu could be made gluten-free. When they food came out he confirmed that the dish was gluten free when serving it and a gluten free note was on our bill. I got drunken noodles and they were super tasty. For those that also need to watch dairy be aware that they use regular milk/cream in addition to coconut milk in their curries.”

“I am pleased to say I highly recommend Coaches. Today for lunch Tonya was our waitress and she was very polite and helpful. Topped off our drinks, brought condiments and offered anything we needed. She was a wonderful waitress with perfect timing to ensure we didn’t need anything! Probably the best waitress we have ever had at Coaches. I understand that everyone is short staffed these days but it has been a long time since I had such a great overall experience. Also, Mary, the cook came out to give me extra wings as she said she only gave me 7 instead of 8 in my wing basket. I would have never even noticed the wing count but she said she wanted to make sure my order was right. That shows going above and beyond to me to make sure the customer was happy. It’s the little things that truly make me want to return to a restaurant and these two ladies made a great mark on me!”

They knocked it out quick while I was able to watch them make it. Presentation of the bowl was on point, every bite was just sweet enough with the natural sugars and honey. I really appreciated the cold temperature of the smoothie in the bowl. I must also add, the bowl had a generous amount of fruit inside. 🤤. Take a moment and stop by for a bowl, a smoothie, or grab some juice. These guys have an amazing menu and their passion is easily seen. They have a great location downtown on 608 E Fearing street.”

“Relatively, newly opened restaurant in downtown Dunn. Restaurant is now taking reservations using a land line telephone. Upon entering you will see the bar to your right. Waiting time without reservation was about 10 minutes. This is a steak restaurant with a simple, but serious menu: Ribeye, Prime NY Strip, and Filet Mignon. All meals come with the house salad, toast, and baked potato. Steak was cooked to my preference and, it was really good. This literally went from the Butcher's Table to the carnivore's fauces.
