“I’m giving them 5 stars. Not because they have exceptional service as most people might think. But because even when they mess up they always make it right. They are human and they have been dealing with staff shortages and other things. I remember I ordered pizza close to the super bowl and after waiting for 2 hours I called the store, the manager and entire staff had walked out and there was one person trying to run the entire store and make all the orders. Instead o canceling all of the orders (which would have been fair considering the circumstances) he was there trying to clean up the mess. I ended up picking up my order instead of having it delivered to make things easier. When they do good they do good but they make mistakes like any other business. The important thing is when they do, they always make it right. I will continue to order from them because of this. I have 5 hungry kids that love them some pizza. We need to remember everyone is human and subject to error. A little kindness goes a long way! Thanks for always doing your best and for making it right when you don’t.”

“My husband and I visited for the first time tonight. The line of cars waiting for takeout along with the packed parking lot had us hoping we made a good choice. This is a casual family restaurant, we seated ourselves and we were lucky enough to meet Elizabeth (our server). When she found out it was our first time, she grabbed us our drinks (cans of soda), explained that the pitcher on the table was sweet tea (this is the South after all), and brought us a basket of perfect hushpuppies. We were debating what to order and Elizabeth brought us a sample of the chicken, a boiled potato and the best coleslaw this reviewer has ever had! We both ended up with the pork and chicken combo and fries. My husband got the coleslaw and I had the green beans and we shared a second basket of hushpuppies. So much food! Elizabeth made this experience even better than we expected. We felt welcomed and comfortable and we look forward to visiting again! Check out this place if you are in the area! You will not be disappointed!! (But you should save room for the banana pudding...we will next time!)”

“Nice looking restaurant was first choice on my Google search so I went and ordered the Burrito Supreme with a side of beans and sweet tea. The complimentary chips and salsa arrived and the salsa was too tame. The refrieds were watery and bland so it took a lot of salt and pepper plus house hot sauce. The burritos were good, one of ground beef and the other was shredded chicken. Both were topped with guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and a slice of tomato. The rice was beside the burritos and was good. The outstanding star of the show, and the only reason to get 4 stars instead of 3, was the hot sauce made there and brought to my table in a squeeze bottle. That sauce brought some serious heat and flavor. Kudos. I did not have room to try the flan.”

“This was our first visit today. It was a busy Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. There were so many options to pick from!! Chris was very nice and answered a few of our questions. It was kind of confusing where to order, people were mixed: waiting on orders or waiting to order, so thats annoying. We were given our receipt and a buzzer for when our order was ready. 45 minutes later I'm seeing people who came in after me already eating. I'm glad I went back up there to Chris who notified me my receipt had never printed out for them to make. The printer messed up on a few orders apparently. He made our order right away. The presentation was awesome and we really enjoyed our first time. We even ordered some Churros to go. You can see the Churros being made fresh too 😋 So after our visit, I asked both kids, out of 5 what did you rate our experience? They both say 4 because everything was great just the wait time. We will be back, but hopefully to the Winston Salem location when they open soon. 🙂”

“This is our favorite Jamaican restaurant in the area. It is family-owned and the sisters that run the restaurant are so friendly. They quickly pulled together orders for 12 hungry folks and brilliantly packaged our take out in a box. “We were on a road trip and wanted something to eat, so we decided on Popeyes since we don’t have one of those close to us. I ordered on the app and I got the online offer for the 6 piece tender 2 can dine, which was 6 tenders, 2 biscuits, and 2 small sides for $9.99 which is a really good deal. I also got a large mac and cheese. We ordered about 5 minutes before arriving because we didn’t realize how close we were to the location. This location is attached to a gas station/convenience store, and it was very nice and clean in there. We told the assistant manager that we put in a mobile order, and he said it would be a few minutes. About 10 minutes later, our food was ready. I was surprised to see we got some extra chicken tenders as well as an extra large mashed potato. I appreciated their generosity (or mistake?) but sadly I forgot some of the food in the car and had to throw it out.”

What we were greeted with was not only incredible food, but some of the kindest and best service I’ve experienced in Durham. We both had the legume platter and shared the Mac and cheese. Make sure you come here hungry because the portions are very large and you aren’t going to want to stop eating (the food is that good!). I chose Rockfish, bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp. The fish was well cooked but the scallops were bit over cooked and the mostly tasted of bacon (my fault for choosing it), but the shrimp were just right. My wife chose the crab cakes, which she says were spicy but not overpowering. We topped off the meal sharing a cheesecake with raspberry sauce—yummy! Wished We’d ordered two. “Let's start this off right! The staff was absolutely wonderful. I have never felt more welcomed to a restaurant in my life. They genuinely brought a smile to my face when they greeted me. My wife was very happy with this as well. The restaurant was incredibly clean. I ordered the kids meal which came with that awesome Paper Car. When I bit into that burger my taste buds were delighted with perfectly seasoned and cooked beef. The cheese was melted to perfection. Even the bread was great. They cooked my burger medium which is something I would prefer. The fries were really good. If it was possible to rate this restaurant higher I would totally go for it. It is the perfect atmosphere for a couple or a family. WE WILL BE COMING BACK!”
