(April 19, 2022, 5:27 am)At the west end of the branch's property (East Boulevard & Superior Avenue) has an Ohio historic marker honoring the library's namesake. James Mercer Langston Hughes was an alumnus of Cleveland's Central High School.
The lawn also has a collection of brightly colored cutout sculptures. -
