A Christmas Story House

We had a great time visiting A Christmas Story house. We took the guided tour and our guide, Tiairra, was very knowledgeable about the house, movie, actors, etc. She really made our visit more enjoyable and we both appreciate that. The houses, museum, gift shop, etc. is right a local neighborhood in Cleveland, which adds to the charm of the visit. We left learning things about the movie.

This is my favorite Christmas movie so it was a dream come true to see the house from the film. It's restored beautifully and really puts you in the holiday spirit regardless of when you go to visit. The surrounding neighborhood seems a little unsafe which is a shame and does take away some of the magic of this special house. Overall though, if you love A Christmas Story then you have to see the house and experience the magic of being there in real life.

My wife booked an overnight stay last year in advance for December of 2020 and unfortunately I got cancer before we could go and my doctor strongly suggested against travel due to the extreme chemotherapy treatments I was given. I messaged A Christmas Story house through email and told them my situation and the staff (Kim Riffle) and all involved could not have been more understanding and helpful with my situation. Everything was resolved in a wonderful manner and I cannot stress enough how there are still good hearted people in this world and that the staff here showed me the real meaning of Christmas this year, from my wife and I, thank you Christmas Story House staff for your wonderful spirit!

This is a nice house. I went here to go on a tour of it and was satisfied with my experience. The tour started in the gift shop across the street and went into the house through the front door. Once we were in the house, we went into the kitchen, and living room, then up the stairs to the second floor, where we went into the bathroom and the bedroom that the kid from A Christmas Story slept in (I forgot his name). After we went in his room, the tour group went into the back yard and then back to the gift shop, thus ending the tour. I gave this house five stars because it has been preserved to be exactly like it was in the movie. It’s also a nice house and I wouldn’t mind living there.

This is another one of those places that you have to go through.
Sometimes you forget about the little things that make up Cleveland Ohio, honestly it's not Difficult because life has a problem of getting in the way of making memories that you can fondly remember.

You will have a guide to explain the details about the actual movie set.
They are very versed in their jobs and they are pleasant.
Obviously the LEG lamp is available.
Red riders are not, because well kid you'll shoot your eye out.
Parking is available, but it is also busy and the usual thing that you should expect from cars.
Some of the neighbors have their own displays and this to is something to ingest with your eyes.
As with any other type of adventure you go on remember to be safe and keep your eye out.
