“Nice little place with that old school pizzeria feel. Staff was super nice as well as a guy wandering around giving suggestions who I assume was the owner or manager. The taco pizza wasn't that impressive but the BBQ Chicken was quite good. Coming from Chicago I have certain preferences for my own pizza, but for something local, everyone in our group was very happy with the place. We all agreed we'd return in the future, just because the people there were so nice and the owner (running outside to stop us on our way to the car to see if we liked his suggestions) seemed so passionate and committed to providing great service. “We have been wanting to try more local restaurants in the area so in our search for new restaurants, we discovered Moosehead Hoof & ladder. From the get go, was very impressed. The decor/atmosphere was very inviting and welcoming. Menu has a very good overall selection of dishes that made it difficult to narrow down our choices. We ultimately started with the wild buffalo rolls with the mild buffalo sauce as an appetizer. Easily some of the best deep fried rolls we have had at a restaurant. Chicken had an excellent flavor and the outer shell was very well prepared and deep fried. The buffalo sauce was very good (it also served as a great French fry sauce later in the meal) For my entree, I ordered the mooseberry salad with grilled chicken and cranberry vinaigrette. The strawberries, oranges, candied pecans and chicken complemented the salad extremely well. The sweet cranberry vinaigrette was the perfect pairing for me on the salad. It was a generous portion of mixed greens, fruit, and chicken. Will absolutely return and have several folks that we will want to introduce to this restaurant now as well. We look forward to visiting again in the future.”

“Got an 18” pepperoni pizza. Was told it would take 15-20 minutes and it was done on time. Really big. Recommend if you have 2-3 people eating. Thin crust foldable slices. Crust has a light crunch to it. Great zesty flavor in the sauce and cheese. The ratios of both are balanced. Not too greasy. Ingredients taste fresh. I was honestly stuffed after 1 and a half slices. Will definitely be revisiting them soon.”

“Ate here for the first time after several recommendations from friends. They were correct, what a wonderful place. We got a lobster roll which we shared and each got a salad. This was the best lobster roll I have ever eaten, with chunks of lobster. Server was friendly, professional, checked on us just the right amount of times. We definitely plan to return. I am curious to try other entrees; however, that will be difficult after tasting the lobster roll. We did learn the lobster rolls are specials on Friday and Saturday evenings as long as they get the fresh lobster arriving on time.”
