“This church played a major role in the anti-slavery movement that preceded the Civil War. The stern original interior of the church was completely remodeled in the 1920s to have the soothing, elegant simplicity which one sees inside the building today. When First Church was built it was the largest meeting hall west of the Allegheny Mountains. In these early years First Church was the focal point of the church community, Oberlin College, and the town of Oberlin. All three were one and the same. Hence the church was referred to as The Meeting House rather than as a church. The congregation still refers to it as The Meeting House even though this building has a much less central role in the community today. “Simply the best experience I’ve ever had in a doctors office, ever. I applied to be a patient Friday evening, Saturday night completed the paperwork, and received a call Monday morning asking if I was available Tuesday at 9am for my new patient appointment. When I arrived, I sat in a small waiting room for less than 5 minutes when I was taken back to a room. A nurse took my vitals and shortly after Dr. Frank (Francis) entered the room. My God, is this guy the most genuine person I’ve ever met. I’ve never felt more comfortable talking about personal medical issues in my life. He’s quick to smile, quick to tell a joke, and very thorough in the initial visit. I’d been going to St Elizabeth my entire life, I’ll turn 32 next year, I had no idea that I was in the age range most susceptible to testicular cancer, (almost in the clear) … it had never been discussed with me. This was covered in my first visit. I could go on and on and on. Honestly for the first time in my life I felt like a patient, and I had a doctor who wasn’t looking every answer up in a database or reading off a script. I HIGHLY recommend this private practice.”

“I think this is my second time posting an online review in a decade. I had an honestly genuine experience picking up a bookcase from here today with Jake, Michaele, and the rest of the staff! The storefront has a healthy amount of IN-STOCK furniture that you can take away the same day. Most places around have a showroom-only with anywhere from a 14 week to 9 month wait time on pieces; I know that's the standard for hand-made furniture, but it deserves special mention that you can pick up something same-day here. Jake himself is very pleasant and informed. I had an enlightening conversation with him while browsing the rest of the shop. When I need more furniture in the future, I will return here.”

“Ryan and his team did an incredible job. Very professional, fast, and detailed. Excellent time management, kept all of their commitments, and their price was extremely reasonable. We had cat urine on our living room carpet, which was only a year old and they were able to literally get it all out. Very grateful. We also had them handle two couches, and they did such a nice job. Our neighbor hired them to do all of their floors. These guys are worth your consideration, and won’t let you down.”

“Store and restrooms are clean. The guy working the register is very friendly and helpful. Beer cave was completely stocked with a variety of beer. The store shelves were a little ransacked but it looked like they got a shipment today because there were boxes on floor waiting to stock shelf’s. The store was busy but the guy working kept the lines moving fast all by himself. I do not prefer this speedway but am satisfied with my visit.”

“My husband and I have lived here in our 3 bdrm 2 and 1 half bath since 2007. Robin is the kind of manger you feel comfortable coming to with any issue. So very kind! We haven’t had many problems over the last 16 yrs, but when we have, she’s on top of making sure things get done! Cheryl, the assistant manger is just as great and always has a smile on her face. Jason, (in charge of maintenance) is wonderful at his job! He’s very personable, listens to you when you explain things and is truly on top of getting the work done!If he says he’s going to do the work you can sure trust he will. We appreciate his kindness. My husband and I, as most people have said to us are “lifers” here! We enjoy all of the staff and our home very much.”

“The Resort at Erie Landing is amazing! The staff, the grounds, the accommodations and the management are all wonderful. Jen goes above and beyond to help make sure we have the best time. This was our third year going and we are already planning to book for next year. The resort has so much to offer for all ages. The entertainment and the activities are all so much fun. They really take the time and care to ensure that every camper has a positive experience.
