Kelleys Island State Park

Address: 920 Division St, Kelleys Island, OH 43438, USA

“The Island itself is great for those that love nature or wine. Not a party island so take your alcoholism elsewhere. The State park is also great if you enjoy true camping with plenty of nature and water access to lake Erie. Trails and a beach highlight the access. The Glacial grooves are definitely worth seeing and makes you feel like you are taken back to a different time seeing all of the layers of rock.”

“Beautiful property for a true camping experience. I started here camping weekends in my tent and now have a seasonal lot with a travel trailer. I have experienced both sides. I found this campground safe, friendly, and relaxing. This campground is set up to accommodate all camp styles (seasonal, overnight, tent, RV, water/electric and dry camping). Clean shower house, camp store, owner on-site, relaxed vibe, family friendly, great fishing, boat rentals, swimming pond, Bingo most Saturdays or an event for all campers to join. Yes there is mobile phone service and stores nearby.”

Audubon Islands State Nature Preserve

Address: Maumee, OH 43537, USA

Park

“Water is generally calm and shallow on the Western side, averaging 4 ft deep and then beming choppier and reaching depths of 10 ft as you come around to the Eastern side. There is a channel that cuts through the West side cutting the Island into 1/3. Another channel cuts through from the Northeast, but comes to a dead end. Bass and other predatory fish are not as present here because the bottom is muddy and the water is more stained. Bottom fishing will produce Catfish, Carp, etc if you find a good hole. The Southern side in the main river channel should produce bass.”

Beavercreek Soccer Association

Address: 2260 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45434, USA

Park

“I’d like to say that the recreational league here is pretty fun. Good environment, decent field. The only issue is some of the refs aren’t well trained. Which I understand because it’s recreational. I for my game today was in the box about to take a shot and an opponent swiped my legs from under me causing me to go to the ground. There was no call and I was told it was “ not on purpose”. It should still be a foul and should have been given a penalty kick. Otherwise, it’s been very fun.”

Jim Woods Splash Pad

Address: Sheffield Ave, Steubenville, OH 43952, USA

Park

“The splash pad is ok. Most of it doesn't work tho (at least it didn't when we went). The playground area is much nicer and worth the trip. There are two shaded pavilions with plenty of picnic tables for seating and there's even outlets there for charging your devices. The restroom was clean. There was also a baseball field, a walking trail, and a gazebo with seating. The grounds are well maintained and clean. The one downside we experienced was that a child (aged 9 or 10) decided to pull down their pants and poop on the ground near the restrooms and their parent didn't make them clean it up. That was our que to leave, so we did. Overall, it's a nice place to visit with your kids.”

Miami Riverview Park

Address: 587 Branch Hill-Loveland Rd, Loveland, OH 45140, USA

Park

“Miami Riverview Park in Loveland, Ohio, is a scenic and versatile outdoor destination along the Great Miami River. This park offers a variety of activities for visitors, including hiking, biking, bird watching, and fishing. The park's location along the river provides beautiful natural views, making it a great spot for picnics and leisurely strolls. One of the highlights of the park is its connection to the Great Miami Riverway, a 99-mile trail that offers picturesque views of the river and surrounding landscapes. The park is also known for its historical significance, as the area was once inhabited by Native American tribes and later became a popular spot for settlers. The park is well-maintained and offers plenty of open spaces, making it an ideal location for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. It's particularly popular in the spring and fall when the weather is mild, and the foliage adds an extra layer of beauty to the landscape. If you're planning a visit, you'll find it a peaceful and enjoyable place to spend a day outdoors.”

Sand Run Metro Park

Address: 1300 Sand Run Rd, Akron, OH 44313, USA

“Really enjoyed our walk today. The trails are nice, clean and paths are clear for the most part. There were several fallen branches, but my kids had fun picking them up and I'm sure the runners were appreciative of that. Scenery is always beautiful in the Metro Parks and we were able to capture some of it.”

Caesar Creek State Park Campground

Address: Unnamed Road, Wilmington, OH 45177, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Tent camper here, three nights in the south part of loop F. Spots are nice, not all are level, so tent camping can be difficult. Wasn’t that busy until Friday evening, guessing the weekends are the busiest time. Lake is beautiful and lots of hiking trails around the campground. Loop F could use another shower house. The bathrooms are old, somewhat dingy and could use an overhaul. Otherwise a fun trip.”

Rocky River Park

Address: 20250 Beach Cliff Blvd, Rocky River, OH 44116, USA

Park

“Beautiful park! My niece and I made breakfast under the pavilion. Then we enjoyed the bench swings overlooking the water. Very nice park! We were a little bummed that there is no swimming allowed but we did get our feet wet!”

Sky Lake RV & Fishing

Address: 3785 Crabill Rd, Springfield, OH 45502, USA

Campground Rv park Park Lodging

“I stayed here full-time in my fifth wheel for two months while working in the area on a nearby job. Spots are level, water is clean, 20, 30 and 50a hookups at the pedestal. People are friendly, lake is beautiful and they keep the grass mowed. It’s quiet after 10 PM and you can get a good nights rest. Only 10 minutes away from chipotle and Walmart, 20 minutes away from Home Depot, Lowe’s, planet fitness, Texas, roadhouse, etc. I heard about some other people having issues, but management told me upfront keep the spot clean and keep the bill paid, my experience was awesome and I would absolutely stay here again. 10/10”
