“Great place for local folks to spend a day swimming, picnicking, hanging out and relaxing. I wouldn’t recommend it as a “tourist destination” but a great place to spend time if you’re already local. There’s tons of shady trees around the picnic area, but little tree coverage around the rest of the park. This is a day-use area only, and a fee area. It gets quite crowded on summer afternoons, but you’re able to spread out well enough. It’s not the cleanest beach, but certainly not the worst. The restrooms leave a lot to be desired but are functional. The picnic area feels like a full typical campground vibe without the campsites. Cement benches, grills and small campfire pits. Tons of great trees to hang hammocks, and it generally stays a little cooler thanks to the lake being on either side of you.”

“This place has a beautiful showroom that displays everything you might need for grilling! I was looking for a special part for a new grill and couldn’t find the part or help. I called this company and the owner, Jim, had me send pictures of the connections before I drove out. In just a few minutes he let me know he had the part. Great experience! “Such a unique place to enjoy a meal. Horse racing was fun. The biggest downsides is that the service is a little slow (but you’re are typically going to go here just to eat and leave, you’re going to want to stay a bit) and it is a long walk from the car to get to the restaurant. Lots of glass to be able to see the horses from every seat in the restaurant. It was a lot of fun.”

The woman that took my order was very polite and knew the menu well and caught all the different meals I had with different options. “Petra Roofing came recommended by my insurance company so I gave them a try. I got an estimate right away, but it did take over a month before the work actually got scheduled to begin as it was a very busy season for roofers. The roof looks great and they cleaned up after themselves as well as replaced some of the skylight ceiling tiles that broke due to debris falling from the roof while it was being replaced. Drew kept in touch with me every step of the way to let me know when something began or ended.”
