“I was walking around the Greenwood district learning both the amazing and tragic history of the place, and asked a young woman at the cultural center where I should eat. She told me about Wanda J's so I drove two blocks down the street and walked in. Tiny place, friendly, and outstanding soul food. I had liver and onions, collard greens, and brown beans. Maybe the best liver and onions I've eaten (it had a brown gravy on it, which I've never had with liver). I promised them I'd be back next time I was in Tulsa.”

There are a lot of old photos and newspaper and magazine articles about this part of Tulsa’s history. You could spend an hour reading everything, although some of the information is redundant. There are also some offices, community spaces available for events and public bathrooms.”
