I have struggled with dental issues for half my life and have had more than one dentist say that I was too far gone, the job would be too big, that I would never have a normal smile or be able to eat normal foods, and it was emotionally devastating. For a long time, I have avoided being seen by anyone outside of my family and rarely left my house aside from going to work.
