Flex & Flow has become my new yoga “home” after I moved to North Portland from another neighborhood. I love it here. Instructors are really lovely, warm, kind people. They’re also thoughtful in how they plan their classes, always on time and have the studio open and ready for you. In addition they make themselves available after for friendly conversation or questions. The space is clean and has great natural light. Someone mentioned the parking in another review but it’s honestly never been an issue, maybe one extra circle around the block at times but that’s expected in a city studio. Oh and the instructors have great tips for parking or any other questions you may have. Just ask and you’ll find help! Like I said, great space, great class, great people!
After being given a groupon for this yoga studio as a Christmas present, I’m obsessed with this place! I love how each class is always different - different instructors teach the same course and make it their own, ensuring the classes are always varied with fun and new perspectives, poses, etc. The space feels warm, inviting, and safe, and all the instructors I worked with had that same energy too. I have practiced yoga before, but I would still very much call myself a beginner. I was worried I’d feel insecure or be judged, but I never experienced any of that. People practicing here are all on their own journeys at all different levels, and I loved how this studio seems to really embrace and celebrate this. I always left feeling happy, clear headed, rejuvenated, and all stretched out. Truly life changing. I can’t wait to go back!!
I'm new to yoga and I was nervous getting into it. I started a week ago and I love it! The classes are challenging but they really help you as a beginner. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming.
The studio offers a variety of classes, but I've only been to the active classes. They are a ton of fun and definitely accommodating for all levels. You'll work as hard as you want to — instructors are upbeat, friendly, and clearly explain easy, medium, and hard variations throughout the classes. Prepare to sweat! I always leave class feeling great :)
The yoga is athletic and fast moving but also super accessible no matter how experienced / athletic you are. It's got that real community feeling where everyone is friendly and open and talks to each other before and after class. Super welcoming and relaxed, and a great place to get your yoga on!
I like going to classes that get me sweating and make me feel like I've gotten my workout in for the day - and these do not disappoint! Plus there are options for more advanced yogis in their upside down classes, if you are looking to work on inversions or more advanced poses.
Also, they were handing out free samples of kombucha, coconut water, and coffee... WIN!

I've used Flex and Flow for a few weeks now, together with the triple action cream and the result is spectacular. The drastic reduction of pain or complete disappearance is almost immediate! I've used it for pain on my back, as well as for arthritis pain in my hands and feet.
