Such a beautiful park! Lots of different trails that connect to other types of trails that also connect to other kinds of trails...
There are so many parks in the Portland area, do not overlook this gem! A gorgeous walk or easy jog, dense biodiversity, lots of cool events. One of my favorite places. It takes me about 30 minutes to jog the perimeter of the park, more if I stop for pictures or just to admire the views.
***The signs are a little confusing for me to read! Definitely snap a pic of the trail routes before you head in****
This is a very nice trail natural area with paved primary paths and unpaved alternative trails/loops. You will see some small wildlife, including rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, birds, etc. You may even see an owl or two. There are caution signs stating that they have been reported to swoop down at times. Dogs are prohibited.
Had a good walk in the woods. This park got a good number of walking trails with the long and short distances.
It's a peaceful park and not crowded. You'll hear birds chirping. Nice to get lost in the woods :-)
Watch out for mosquitoes.
No dogs park.
Very nice urban park with quite a bit of nature. I have walked this park a lot, but found the walks near sunset to be the best for wildlife viewing. Major trails are paved or graveled and many are mud free in the winter. They are good about marking trails that muddy. Restrooms are available, but dogs are not allowed. That is the price to see wildlife next to the trail.
