“Unfortunately, we had to cancel our wedding due to COVID concerns just before Gov. Brown *rightfully* banned gatherings. It broke me in a million ways but our loved ones health was more important than our one selfish day of celebration. While I realize that I don't have any experience with this venue during or after an event, what I do have experience with is their kind, generous and human first approach to running the venue. I naturally ask 8432678 questions and Ahsamon was always so extremely helpful, kind and informative. I never once felt like my questions were too much or unwelcomed. She was so nice and I really appreciated her during an extremely stressful time. She was amazing and I cannot express enough how much I appreciate her direct yet compassionate approach. Director Mike was also extremely helpful in helping us in the venue process. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a slew of reasons *when we are able to safely get back to doing so.* Through COVID you truly see who cares about the people, about the humans and who cares more about profits and selfish gains. This venue cares about the people. Always choose people over profits. We are currently in a time where that is up for debate. Make your dollar count. Choose compassion.”

“The dentist was REALLY nice, the only set-back is I couldn't schedule all my fillings at once (they try to do one -maybe 2 if you're lucky- at a time). One day I tried calling, and it took me about 3-4 hours to finally get a hold of them even though they were open. Other than that, the DR spends time discussing all your issues and is open to any questions and super helpful.”

I make a trip out there every couple of weeks to stock up for myself and my friends at the office, and I look forward to the trip every time. Obviously their coffee is fantastic and well priced, but that's just what got my foot in the door. What keeps me coming back again and again is their level of care. They are socially conscious with all of their sourcing, so that no matter which coffee I buy from them, I know it's actively improving the lives of the farmers and the farmers' communities. They also offer free community education for us, to learn to appreciate and understand all the various facets of what makes a great cup, both generally and individually. It's a fun place to be a part of.”

“Café Zamora is a Portland gem. Fantastic coffee available packaged or by the cup, Guatemalan tamales, and cool shop setup. The owner (Hector) is such a friendly guy who is always fun to talk to. They have a really great story and socially conscious business model. I recently bought some of their coffee as presents via their website and was amazed at how quickly and effectively it got delivered. Highly recommend checking them out at the shop or by buying their beans at Market of Choice or online!”
