“Stayed here for New Year's Eve 2018. What an incredible place! It was literally 2 degrees out. Between the fireplace and the lovely accommodations, there was no reason to leave. My fiance and I brought in the New Year in a very beautiful and romantic setting. The owners and staff are very nice and responsive to any inquiries. Great proximity to the town of New Hope. I would go there again in a heartbeat!”

“I was recently at HollyHedge Estate attending a wedding reception. I would never have even known it was there if I hadn't been looking for it. The grounds were private, and beautiful. Valet parking was great. The food was excellent and the wait staff friendly and helpful. Drinks and dancing were fun, and honestly, I can't think of anything to complain about or suggest as far as an improvement. I can't speak to pricing or dealing with them on the business end, but as a guest, I'd say it's certainly worth your consideration if you're looking for a venue for a social gathering of your own. “We stayed here in May, when I was North for my first mid-Atlantic spring in a dozen years. Their Web site and brochure don't begin to show what a special place the 1740 House is. Accommodations were historic, yet very comfortable. There is a bar on the premises; the night we arrived there was a cookout on an outside grill -great food served in an area adjacent to the Delaware River. The breakfasts there are excellent. They provide coffee in the lobby area beginning at 7 am, which makes waiting for breakfast easier. This is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it.”

“My daughter's Sweet 16 cake was absolutely gorgeous! We had a Tiffany theme and the cake was 2 tiered and looked like a Tiffany gift box. It had a giant white bow and even a gift tag. Just beautiful! And the best part... it tasted as good as it looked! I wouldn't hesitate to call Simply Yours again. Awesome! I wish I could attach a picture of it.”

“My wife and I truly love this place. If you closed your eyes and dreamed of what the best bed and breakfast would be, this is it. The look when you drive on the grounds are of an English countryside manor. The grounds are gorgeous. The home itself, beautiful and perfectly decorated. We stayed in the penthouse suite and it was perfect. The views from our balcony of the grounds were picturesque. The breakfast was great. We wished we never had to leave. Thank you guys for making the time away from our crazy lives perfect. We wished it was Groundhog Day and got to live it over and over again. If you stay here I know you’ll love it as much as we did.”

“Very nice Thanksgiving dinner. Very good food and service. Only downside was how crowded it was relative to the size if the establishment. Valet was backlogged and it was difficult to walk through lobby, as many guests were constantly waiting there (this is an issue since the dining room and buffet station are on opposite sides of the lobby). Overall, our party was very pleased with our experience here and will return!”

And we were pleasantly surprised to find the house already beautifully decorated for Christmas! Roy and Scott were genuinely warm and welcoming and professional innkeepers. The breakfast made one wish there was a subsequent lunch and dinner at the house!????”

“We love Briarwood! Our daughter went to Briarwood for several years and loved going there each and every day of the summer. She made great friends at Briarwood, had so much fun swimming, playing sports and doing lots of other fun activities. Arts and crafts was one of her favorites. The owners and the staff are awesome. They are so on top of things. They run a great camp and make it so much fun for the kids and so easy for the parents. Transportation is provided to and from the camp which is so helpful.”
