“The pretzels we bought here were delicious. They had a crispy bottom and buttery top. They were large and were only five dollars for three. They were very soft pretzels. We watched the lady hand roll them. We had previously went to the farmers market, and the Busy Bee's served MUCH better pretzles, along with a side of cheese and/or mustard for only 25¢. The prices at this place seemed very low. Besides the pretzels, there were many fruits, vegetables, and homeade drinks. Also available were many handmade decors. Outside, for 25¢ you could feed goats, and could pet the other animals. Overall, I would give this place five stars for the quality of the items, taste of pretzels, and hard work put into them.”

“Here is a toy store for adults -- a really well-stocked hardward store -- in Amish country. Very helpful owners and staff; go to them with a questions or problem and they know the answer! Huge, huge array of household items and hardware, plumbing and electrical supplies, plus gardening items, fertilizers, charcoal bricquets, wagons, Even a few BBQ sauces, rubs, and seasonings on the front shelf! Prices reasonable, too.”

“I have been staying here for a few years. Only place I recommend to people. I always feel so welcomed. Always very clean. I love early mornings looking out to the field or feeding the fish across the road. It is so nice to plop down on a comfy big bed mid afternoon from shopping and taking a nap. Love, love little sink and plates, utensils to enjoy my local snacks. She always has drinks in the fridge. So many soft towels and generous spa tub. Gas, cozy fireplace in the Fall. Self serve espresso machine in dining. Perfect country breakfast for me. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.”

“It was a pleasure to work with Hilltop Furniture, professional custom cabinet makers. After dealing with several contractors to restore our home after Super Storm Sandy in 2012, the kitchen was the last and most intense project to address. It was a wonderful experience designing our new kitchen alongside Sam. There was never a problem when we asked for a change. The response was always "Yes, we can do that". His professional input was invaluable and so aesthetically pleasing. The installation was completed by Sam and three of his sons in one day, which included the kitchen with crown molding extending into the dining room and the custom fireplace surround. This was accomplished in 12 1/2 hours in May of 2014. The cabinets are still as beautiful and durable as the day installed. We had chosen painted maple cabinets in the work area of the kitchen and a cherry corner cabinet and hutch with a clear coat finish on the other side of the kitchen near the dining room. We can only highly recommend Hilltop Custom Furniture for your custom design needs.”

“I lived in Ohio with my family, so I have been interested in Amish so very much. My dream had been staying in Amish farm for a long time and finally my dream came true. My staying with my husband was so wonderful and impressive! Warm hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Stoltzfus, good scene, calm and tranquil surroundings and perfect facilities in the guesthouse. All were absolutely perfect. We believe that we will be back in the future! At first we were anxious if we could contact the owners smoothly, because now we live in Tokyo, Japan. But soon it turned to be in vain. The manager (or organizer) named Dave helped us a lot. When we made our reservation, he replied to be accepted soon. Moreover, whenever we asked questions(we wanted to visit another farm tour and to know correct address of the house where Amish dinner would be served), he answered promptly and concisely. It was so helpful! Thanks to him, we could enjoy a farm tour in Old Windmill Farm and a wonderful dinner with Amish sisters and their children. They were so very splendid and impressive, too. It was so impressive for us that most Amish not only struggled to keep their own ways of life but also tried hard to change and march with the times. Their living inspired us a lot. I’d like to appreciate the Stoltzfus, Dave and all who were involved with our staying. As I wrote, we will sure to be back here in the future.”
