“There is a lot of love about La Locanda Del Ghiottone! La Locanda is conveniently located in Old City. The small one level building screams old school, authentic Italian. The staff in excellent and will always make you feel welcome and a part of the family. The food is brilliant - the gnochhi is one of the best I've had. The seafood has always been fresh and done to perfection. I have eaten here countless times and have never had a bad dish. BYOB & CASH ONLY”

“In the midst of looking for some great pizza in the city, stumbled across this gem. The pizza was AMAZING! The staff was super nice and the pizza came out very perfect. The crust was the perfect mixture of thin and fluffy. If you are in the area, stop in to enjoy a slice or a whole pie. You will not be disappointed.”

“Hospitality here is AMAZING ! I absolutely loved each time I have visited, how welcoming the owner and waiters have been. The quality of food here is nothing short than amazing. I've tried dishes that have chicken and lamb. So dad, their meat has been cooked well and their seasoning was definitely complimentary to the taste. I haven't experienced anything extra spicy, which is a plus on my book. Their bread is really good, freshly baked and makes you feel like you are in their homeland. I've tried their spinach soup from my friend's plate and it was honestly perfect to dip with their bread. Their decor is so nice, my phone died and I wasn't able to capture as many pics, but I will save that for a future trip. They have traditional clothing, art pieces and pottery that just adds to the essence of the place. There is also a seating at the end of the restaurant where you can sit on the floor with cushioning and enjoy a humble meal. I don't think there was anything about this place that disappoints, so the deserve the 5/5 stars.”

“Great place for groups or couples. It wasn't too crowded when we were there but musicians know a ton of request songs. Attentive bar tenders”

“I didn't mind waiting to be seated. It seemed like a busy night when I visited with the live music going on. The service was friendly, efficient and fairly fast. It didn't seem stiff and scripted. Probably the best I had during my visit in Philly. The food came out earlier than I expected because we were told that there was a backlog of orders in the kitchen. The crab cakes, the soup and the legs were delightful. The cakes were pure crab meat, no extenders or fillers. I would say the price is just right for the amount you get. I left feeling full and happy. I'm based in Toronto, Canada and I already miss Nauti Mermaid.”

“I went for the All you can eat blue crabs. A place like this is so long overdue in the Philly area. The crabs were hot fresh and delicious! The service was fast and on point, the staff was amazing! I definitely plan to go back soon to taste the food menu.”
