(November 6, 2018, 5:35 am)I have used Southern Management since 2008 to rent my single family house. Due to circumstances beyond my control I had to rent my home. Selling was not an option until recently due to the market.In that time I had 4 sets of tenants. Southern mgt has been invaluable in helping me navigate through repair work, non payments,estimation of damages. Shifting through "stories" and coming up with the truth. The key is communication. The laws are slanted for the tenant giving the landlord very little recourse. I had the opportunity to collect a double security deposit but was too kind. .Now I wish I had.... The damages and non payment from the last set far exceeded the single security deposit. Someone who only rents does not understand the full spectrum of costs involved in owning a house. Fortunately after 2 months of intense work we were able to repair the damages and sell the house. I am now waiting to recoup unpaid rent . I never would have known my options had I not had Stella and Danielle guide me through it. A big Thank You to Southern Management!
