Dave is very intuitive and understands his customers and their vehicles, and in my case the purpose of the vehicle. I recently has a new transmission installed in my "snow" truck and several other problems were discovered during the process. I was kept completely informed of the issues and the costs to repair them in a way that I could understand, no smoke and mirrors or technical jargon. The repair was completed quickly and at a cost that was thousands less than I was quoted by a transmission shop. This particular truck has 207K miles and Keesey's has kept it on the road and in good working order for years. I had much rather just get them another car and have them sell their BMW for parts. Not only did the transmission get replaced, but the front axles were replaced and the radiator holding tank was replaced too. After doing extensive research I decided to go to Pocono Transmission Center in Blakeslee. Tom (the owner) is very hands on, professional and detailed. He kept me and my sons posted on every move he made. He told us to pop into the shop in another 2 weeks, just so he can give it a look over and then come back in another month to follow. “Karen's post is incorrect. Please see section e that states that all fees need to be paid prior to access. Once this is complete then she is correct the owner cannot withhold access to your vehicle. I have had many dealing with this company, including having my car repaired. I have never experienced anything other than complete professionalism. Here is a copy of the code Karen was referring to: (e) Release of towed vehicle.--Upon a request from the vehicle owner or a person authorized by the owner to regain possession, a tow truck operator or operator of a towing storage facility shall not refuse during the posted hours of operation to release a towed motor vehicle unless law enforcement has requested that the vehicle be held. Release shall be conditioned on the payment for towing, storage and related services. All charges shall be itemized and in writing. Payment may be made with cash, a credit card from a common issuer or a check from an insurance company or authorized tower or salvor acting on behalf of the insurance company. (f) Access to vehicle.--A tow truck operator or towing storage facility shall provide hours of operation that reasonably allow access to a towed vehicle and shall grant reasonable access to the towed vehicle during its posted hours of operation for the purpose of inspection and retrieval by law enforcement officials or authorized municipal personnel, the vehicle owner or a person authorized by the owner under this act.”
