“Coming back to my old hometown of Gettysburg after many years away was made extra special by the wonderful hospitality of Chris and Todd, who couldn't have been nicer or more attentive to our every need. Our cottage was pretty, furnished with antiques but with every modern convenience, spacious, spotless, and welcoming after a busy day, all at a very reasonable price. When we arrived we were greeted with a bottle of wine, a bowl of fresh local apples, and a fridge full of beverages and snacks. When we left after a week, we had made 2 new friends in our lovely hosts. Thank you! We'll be back soon!”

“This motel has been under-starred. Cindy is a fabulous host. Works hard to keep this place comfortable. Rooms are nice and comfortable. getting improved. Just far enough away from town to enjoy the quiet while on vacation”

“Cheapest room I found near Gettysburg. Clean room, comfy beds. Helpful staff. Diner attached to motel has good breakfast as well. Good location as well and is only 20 minutes from places I needed to be. Definitely recommend for people on a budget like me!”

“Very nice atmosphere and accommodations. An older building that has just recently updated interior but the old world charm was retained. Our room was very comfortable and had a huge walk-in shower. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Flavor of our supper was very good and some unusual offerings (turtle soup).”

“We had a stand at the water which was so nice and beautiful. The campground host's friendliness made us feel welcome. The no-flush toilets unfortunately ruined it for us. And the showers was a little too far from the water sites.”

“Camp Conquest is a nice little camp set on a hill (be aware walking here will take some effort!) Friendly staff, fun programming. My kids had a great time and would like to stay again.”

“It is a very nice campground. There are permanent residence campsites, limited time stay campsites, small cabins, luxury cabins, and more cabins. The luxury cabins are very nice, but you may want an air freshener. The couch is even a futon. There is a haunted house which is terrifying. It is an awesome place.”

“Nice Clean friendly staff hotel. Booked two nights for a basketball tournament and really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and modern, we had a king size bed and a pull out couch which was perfect for my 2 boys age 10 and 13. Large Flat screen TV , along with a desk area, as well as small fridge and microwave. The am breakfast was delicious!! Egg omelets, waffles, ham, bagels, cereal, oatmeal juice milk, coffee, etc. Full breakfast included with stay. The views of the city are amazing. The pool was very clean and the water clear. There is an applebees walking distance from the hotel. Definitely a great place to stay and affordable.”

“We were booked into the Meyer Suite which was the end unit nearest the road and highway. It was nice to have such a spacious, bright and extremely clean room. Everything was laid out thoughtfully and organized. Mikaela checked us in and gave us a great orientation to help us get settled and find a great restaurant for dinner. Elva's baking was very tasty, my husband loved her mini fruit pies! The breakfast is different than some might like, but it was nice to try a different style. We could hear the highway the first night due to wind direction, but second night it was fine. Perhaps this was why a white noise machine was offered.”

“This place was awesome! We stayed for one night and booked the Ressler Suit and it was a great room. The hospitality was on point! There was an issue with our fireplace and the maintenance man was very quick and nice to fix the issue. This set the standard of B&B through the roof for me.”

“This is a good example of a small family-run economy hotel. It is clean to a fault, and the two owners go out of the way to make you feel welcome. I'm on the first name basis with them, and going here for over 5 years. So this is the place where I stopped at every time I'm in the Lancaster area. You know I can go anywhere I want but they make me feel welcome and everything works so this is where I go I highly recommend it as long as you don't want a big fancy hotel room. There's our fair size but not real fancy. But they are clean and everything works. I've been able to park my truck and trailer every time with no problem.”

“Not fancy but it is nice. Clean rooms, good hot bath, friendly staff, wifi ok, did not have a breakfast but I think I was the only one there. Neat little bar with good food right next door. Only bad thing is it is a little noisy being on a busy street but I would stay again.”

“I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I arrived at 1AM, we'll after check in. I followed the instructions on the paper in the door, and was promptly greeted by the owner. She checked me in super fast, and then I went to my room. The room was spotless, and very well maintained. The TV worked great, as well as the shower and the mini fridge. I ended up waking up 20 minutes after checkout, and was worried about being charged for another day. The owner said no to worry at all and that I was fine. I was able to take my time collecting my things and packing up. I didn't feel rushed at all and felt very welcomed to be there. Her dog is also very friendly and has the most gorgeous hair I've seen on a dog. There is so much to do around the area, and there is a Rutters with beer less that 30 seconds away. Recommended this place 100 %!”

“My mom and I ate here when we were on a bus trip to the Sight & Sound Theater. We were served a family style dinner. They passed around platters of ham and turkey. They were bowls of corn, green beans and mashed potatoes. There was fresh bread and salads and pie for dessert. The food was simple but good. The service was fast. Nice gift shop to look around. We enjoyed it.”

“We stayed here for a 3 day Mom and Girls trip and it was wonderful. Upon arriving, Peggy greeted us and made sure we knew how everything worked and where everthing was located. She stocked coffee, water, cereal, bananas, muffins and milk for us. Before she went on her way, we were all hugged and we felt like family. Their are 3 bedrooms including 2 Queens, 1 full and a twin. The livingroom is large and enough seating for a family and has a TV with cable and wifi service. The kitchen is fully stocked and has a microwave and dishwasher. Towels and linens are provided and the place is decorated nice and has a home like feel. The rental is located across the entrance from Sight and Sound Theater and across from Hershey Farm Inn which has a great gift shop and smorgasbord. There are 2 Outlets located just up the road in Lancaster as well as lots of Amish shops and sights. While you visit, you can enjoy a nice relaxing and enjoyable buggy ride at Eds Buggy Rides located on the property and owned by Peggys husband. Call today and book your Amazing Amish Getaway before this gem books for the season. You will be glad you did.”

“Some of the best, fresh-from-the-farm produce available. We bought a quart of plump, red Roma tomatoes, a baker's dozen of fresh picked, large ears of sweet bread-and-butter corn, a half peck of huge gorgeous peaches, and a half bushel of green beans, all for under $30! You can also drive down to the main farm to pick up produce by the bushel and half bushel. Whenever we need fresh produce and are in the area we stop here before going anywhere else.”

“Experienced a sense of history, a sense of warmth and hospitality, and friendship. Bed was comfy, food was delicious. Our hosts, Denise and Rick were welcoming and a wealth of knowledge on the residence and the Lancaster area. A great place to relax and retreat from the rush of life. You won't go wrong with this choice.”
