“I had a wonderfully prepared dinner. Short ribs, fries, cornbread and slaw. The ribs were good, as they should be, the fries were one of the best I've had, with a lot of crunch, and the slaw was nice with lots of vinegar. It's a bit empty inside, a function of the location, and inside a tad dated. But, nontheless, the atmosphere was still pleasant.”

The place was packed however, we still received our drinks within 3-4 minutes of arriving. We decided to order food and ill be honest, it was some of the best food that I have had in a while. The chicken Caesar salad was BOMB! My partner ordered the chicken tenders which were amazing. I was absolutely jealous! The tenders melted in your mouth and tasted amazing. Will come again.”

“Grassy Hill B&B was very relaxing, comfortable, and homey feeling. It wasn't in the middle of a town; it was set back into the woods with a breathtaking view of the valley below and mountains. The location was perfect, not too close to the city and not too far away. You couldn't hear cars and you could see the stars. At night you could hear the tree frogs and then in the mornings, you would hear the birds. Carol was a wonderful hostess and always encouraged us to make ourselves at home. She provided us with a very neat and clean place to stay. Cookies, hot tea and coffee, internet access, TV, wonderful breakfasts, and conversation were all provided and went above and beyond our expectations. I will stay here again and I recommend it to anyone looking to relax. ”

“Very well maintained shelter, room for 6 or more on the floor plus room for a few hammocks. Raised floor helps keep the critters out. In front there is a log bench and a metal fire ring. No privy. Several nice tent sites nearby as well. Just north of the shelter, maybe 500-700 feet and right on the trail is a piped spring with a small metal basin. Just to the south, maybe 1/4 mile is a side trail called North View that takes you past a small vista.”

“I was here to assist with a wedding. The place is ideal for those who want a rustic, but clean and classy venue. The farmhouse is beautiful wood and has several rooms for people to get ready in. The staff is attentive, but not overbearing. The food is outstanding and fresh, and the surrounding area is second to none with several opportunities for scenic pictures to be taken. “We like having a suite, especially for longer stays. The living room offers a comfortable place to sit and watch TV where many hotel rooms don't even have a comfortable chair. The fact that the bedroom can be closed off from the living room insulates guests that much more from noise in the hall. I did notice hall noise while in the living room, however, and the outside road noise was also noticeable. It seemed to be less so in the bedroom, though maybe that was just my imagination.”

Breakfast was freshly made and included homemade muffins and pastries. This was our first visit. However, other guests indicated they stay at Faunbrook on a regular basis. We will definitely return to this exceptional place when we revisit the area.”

“The resort is beautiful and well maintained. I dined at both restaurants and the food was great. The staff was great. The entire place is a little dead in early December before they slopes opened up, but once they opened up it wasn't so bad. I was able to snowboard on opening day and I had a good time. The snow conditions were a little icy when compared to other resorts in the area, but this was their opening day and I still had a good time. The hotel is affordable nice. I'd return for sure.”
