“Varden is one of those surprises you find that's right under your nose. Split in to two tracts, they both have their own unique personalities. The Mid Valley tract is more wooded and filled with white pine and larch groves. The Tannery tract sits on old farm and and is more open, it also is bisected by power lines which, at east to me, shows the importance of protecting our wild spaces.”

“This is our first season here and we’re having an awesome time. We love to hike and bike and be outdoors and this is the perfect location to be in the middle of it all. We have met a lot of great people already and there is definitely a family atmosphere. The owners are very friendly and helpful and are dedicated to make our experience here enjoyable. They provide awesome entertainment with musical bands and meals. There is always something going on here. My wife and I are so excited to be here and we’re looking forward to all the great things they have planned. We highly recommend Pine Ridge Campground.”

“Great shelter along the AT with ample room for tenting and hammocks. The privy is relatively new and clean. When we stayed here, there were easily 20 hikers who spent the night.”

“Wonderful campgrounds. Two beautiful lakes, fun activities and a great staff. On music nights there may be a band or DJ and dancing. There are cook-offs, pot-luck dinners and barbeques. Crafts are scheduled for adults and also for kids. Each weekend has a theme. The grounds are beautiful and you can fish in the lakes. We've been camping there for several years and love it. I highly recommend this campground.”

“It's a nice quiet campground. It sits on a small island.”

“Sites are a decent size and have lovely trees for shade, roads and sites are well kept, some sites that have long termers are trashy looking, lots of junk laying around their sites (parks only negative). The staff is fantastic, pleasant and very helpful! Love being able to see and pet the farm animals, the barn yard animal sounds are calming and pleasant to hear while you are sitting outside relaxing. Themed weekends are enjoyable. Pool area is well maintained. There is a nice little store on the grounds.”
