“After using Dr. Hobbs for 16 years no other vet can compare. Not only does she treat each horse like her own, she understands your predicament and finds the best way to help you and your horse. When one of my horses had cancer she gave us a recommendation to take him to UGA and he lived an extra 4 wonderful years with us. With each horse we've had to put down she cried with us. When she does retire it'll be hard to find another vet who provides excellent care as Dr. Hobbs.”

“Waxhaw Presbyterian Church is a beautifully maintained small church with a adjoining graveyard located off a country road is a most peaceful place to visit. Notably a special memorial installed by the D.A.R., Waxhaw Chapter honor's Andrew Jackson's Mother, Elizabeth Hutchinson. Elizabeth, a heroine is the unsung equal or other great female American patriots of the era. Elizabeth lost two sons to the British and finally gave her life succumbing to Typhoid while nursing captured Patriot's virtually abandoned to die of disease on British prison ships in Charleston Harbor. Also interred here are many of Col. Abraham Buford's doomed Virginia Continental soldiers. These interred here survived the slaughter of the battlefield only to die of their bayonet and other wounds a few days after arriving for medical care. These Virginians had weeks previously traveled to South Carolina in the vain attempt to save "Charlestown" from defeat. Their pleas for Quarter while surrendering to Lt. Col. Banastre Tarleton’s troops and Cavalry were ignored. Instead of Quarter all were stabbed or bayoneted.”
