I've read the negitive reviews and I'm not sure who, where, or what those people are talking about. Dr. Leal and staff are the most caring and loving professionals I have encountered in a long time. They have actually restored my faith in the medical field. They took my son off of medications we were sure he didn't need and they monitor him closely.
I have not experienced any of the language barriers or any sort of inappropriate behavior that some complained about. My guess is that they themselves were the problem and not the doctors or staff of New Horizon.
Those who complain are not seeing the Doctor on a regular basis. They prefer to call and have a subscription filled. Many don't understand the Doctor is responsible for their patient and if you have Diabetes you need blood work or consultation. All phone calls are returned.
Call or visit with a good attitude you will be respected and treated accordingly. Working with your Doctor is a two way street. Mutual respect is paramount and those who complain probably have problems with other care providers. We have an experience Doctor working in the practice and we understand many don't like changes. But progress means changes and its for the betterment of all our patients. Respectfully.
Dr. Leal is great at what she does. She is working with me on controlling my diabetes and weight. I have been seeing her since this summer 2019 and she seems very personal and caring. She takes her time to ask and answer my questions.
The staff is great, and the doctor is a sweetheart and works with you on changing your health and life.
