Well the owner Nick ordered me a whole case and the next time I was in he sold it to me for the price he paid.. Wholesale!!! Also I have been going to this store since I was 15 and I'm 33 so that should say it all. I have been out of gas and didn't have enough money to get to my job in Memphis about 25 miles away. Nick actually let me fill my tank up and then bring him the money after I got paid. They are amazing and friendly.. Definitely my favorite place to get gas or beer or smokes.”

“This is the second-best Chinese restaurant in the area (the best, by far, is Formosa.) It has a nice, relaxing interior that has been little updated in over 25 years (which I like, though others may not.) I have ordered several dishes over the years, and while nothing I have had is amazing, nearly everything is very good. Among other things, I have tried cashew chicken, snow pea chicken, lemon chicken, orange chicken, vegetable lo mein, and mu-shu vegetables. The mu-shu was just OK, the lemon or orange chicken (cannot remember which) had a terrible, mystery meat-type chicken, but the rest of the dishes were very good. I think as long as you steer clear of the breaded chicken dishes, you are fine. The reason I cannot give 5 stars is that the prices have gone up quite a lot lately, and it seems like more than most other restaurants. It is by no means a rip-off, but the portions are not huge, so it is a little frustrating. I am able to go only for dinner, but like most places, they have lunch specials that provide more value. Overall, this is a very good restaurant. I credit them for staying open for dine-in all throughout the pandemic too.”

We ordered the country fried steak breakfast, home fries, and biscuit and gravy, eggs over easy and a BLT with grits. The BLT was excellent. The toast and bacon were nice crisp. Just enough lettuce to add the taste and a slice of tomato that had a good flavor. Grits were cooked with the right combination of salt and pepper to give them a good taste. The country fried steak was a generous portion covered with country gravy. The biscuit with covered with the same gravy. The gravy had a good pepper flavor. The eggs were cooked as ordered.”

“Top Hog has some of the BEST catfish in middle Tennessee. We ordered the catfish platter and the hamburger. The catfish filets are cooked to perfection! For the sides, we chose the white beans with onions and chow chow (which were really good) and the collard greens (the greens are really spicy, even for someone who likes spicy) so be prepared if you choose them! We also had an order of onion rings, which have a nice flavor with a thick semi crunchy batter. You can’t go wrong choosing to eat here! A couple of things to note, the prices are very reasonable (especially for the portions you get) they seem to be super busy at lunch and dinner time (could wait 30-40 min for table) and they only accept cash or check, no credit cards! Having said that, it’s worth the wait as well as the cash!”

“Amazing Food Flavor, Texture, and Care!! My husband and I called and placed an order from Diane for Takeout today: He had the Bistro Burger w/fries and I had the Quiche Lorraine. Burger was cooked perfectly since my husband likes his a little rare, it was GREAT with all the toppings and the fries had a very nice seasoning on them. I like thicker fries and not crispy, there were made my favorite way. My husband likes a well known one that are narrower cut and crispy, but he still enjoyed them. BEST most CREAMY Quiche I have had in all of my life!! I have to watch my gluten intake and the crust was so minimal, often most places have such a thick crust and barely anything inside. Her egg mixture was so creamy with lots of onions and other ingredients on the bottom. It was almost like a light cheesecake/flan sort of egg consistency. SMOOTH! No idea how long Diane whipped those eggs, but OH MY DELICIOUS! We will be Back and hope to meet you next time Diane (I had to stay in the car with our dog) and thank you, plus try your spinach quiche next!! Diane, we will share with our friends to keep you busy. ***If anyone is looking for a quaint but special not too big of a place (Diane can seat 4 tables worth, save for COVID times) that focuses on care of quality and food flavor, and feel like you aren't in the big Memphis metro area, but not far (only 10min drive from Lakeland area).
