  Down home country cooking that is delicious. I had the catfish my girlfriend had the chicken fried steak. Excellent comfort food goodness. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for phenomenal soul food .

  "I had their Ox-tails" the other day. I had my woman there with Me, it was her first time tasting an oxtail (I grew up on them). --This is not the point!
  
  The point that I am about to make is to address the merits of this place. The food is muy delicious 😋 (in other words the food is slamming and jamming). I won't go about doing any improper vouching! --I mean it when I say the food is good as a (have to watch my mouth).
  
  True story.... the food is so good that it makes one see past the imperfections.
  
  Overall, the atmosphere reminds Me of that southern feel... the scene is set, and the music in the background is what it takes to cook soul food.... the music tastes so good in the food.

  Very satisfied with my experience. Best place in town. Food was excellent, service was top notch. Mac n’ cheese brought back memories of my youth. The waitress went above and beyond to get us set up with dinner for tonight’s road trip.
  Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

  AWESOME FOOD !! Never had a bad experience, food always hot and fresh everything is cooked once order is placed!! Love JACKSON SOUL FOOD !! Had my food dine in and take out never had any problems best in town & if you need more condiments just ask for more they will politely give you more tried everything there and everything is Awesome! They do get busy but that’s not a problem good is still going to be fresh and hot no matter how long the wait is I’m still waiting!! Thanks Jackson soul

  Great service, friendly staff and the food!!! We had burgers, with the fried gizzards for a starter. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese just because I had to. Fresh green Beens. Can’t wait to go back. Comfort food!!! So yummy.I think I could have been happy just eating sides.
