“I absolutely LOVE this place. I’ve stayed here 3 times. Twice for our annuals girl’s river trip and once when my husband and I got away. Darrell and his mom Margy are the kindest people. Darrell meets you when you arrive and they are so fun to sit and talk with. The rooms and beds are extremely cozy. This last trip we had 7 women so 5 of us stayed in Deer Haven. It’s the back cottage with a full kitchen. It was nice to sit on the back patio and I LOVED the VHS movies. The location is perfect. Close to the river, River Road Ice House and Gruene. The breakfast is fantastic and this is definitely are go to place in New Braunfels.”

The park itself is very nice, beautiful large trees, , nice club house, with shower and laundry facilities. No wild partier types, just friendly, hard working people. Also, nice dog park area. “A very nice RV park, with friendly folks. It's pretty quiet besides the noise of Highway 281. We used to have little get togethers on the regular. Set on the bench next to the cabin with a BBQ some beers, & dice. Eventually the neighbors would start showing up. Sometimes we would have to grab another bench because of all the neighbors coming by. I recall one time we had 3 benches together. We became friends with most of these fine folks. It really was a highlight for me when I came to Texas. I look back at these times wistfully, with great reverence. But I do hear that manager they have there. Has very little compassion or empathy for people helping their loved ones in a time of need.”

“Wow. My fiance and I spent three nights at the Love Shack in December 2022 (Xmas Eve and Xmas). We purchased the come early/stay late, romance, and charcuterie packages and were not disappointed. We were amazed at the views, the yurts, and the hospitality. Mallory was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Tuck was a stand-up guy and helped us with propane for the fire and fixed a water problem (due to freezing temps) twice in record time. The Yurt was plenty warm even when the wind chill was -1DF (same can be said for the water). When we weren't relaxing in the Yurt, we went in a hike, went to Salt Lick BBQ, and visited Gruene, TX. This trip was definitely worth the price and we will be telling all our friends about it.”

“We enjoyed three nights at this lodge, and absolutely loved every minute. The view of Canyon Lake from the deck is breathtaking, with just a short two minute walk to Boat Ramp and dock #1. Mark, the owner, is courteous, hospitable, and respectful. Every room has been plushly renovated with all the comforts of home. The interior decor is romantically inviting, and kept immaculately clean. The hotel grounds include a large family picnic area with many grills and tables. We saw several deer come right on the property. The surrounding location included wonderful restaurants, hiking trails and boating. We can't wait to return to the Holiday Lodge at Canyon Lake!”

This place is peaceful, she has the most comfortable beds, lots of wildlife to look at, we walked the property having coffee and enjoyed wine in the evenings in her outdoor pavilion. Great place to host an event or wedding too. We highly recommend staying here verses a hotel or other AirB&B. We have already booked another week here in December.”

The staff is friendly and did a wonderful job of providing masks and hand sanitizer. We only had one situation with a poolside event where our attire was not acceptable, but other guests with the same attire were permitted. “I love staying in both of the tiny houses at this property! They are decorated so cute and are very clean and have a comfortable bed. There is a nice outdoor deck with two Adirondack chairs and there have been deer at times. The location is great and not far from wineries, vinyards, live music, shopping, and restaurants all within 20 to 30 minutes. I will definitely be going back!”

“We had a great stay at Casita Geoda! It was perfect for my husband and I, and our two young boys. They loved the swing, the tic tac toe, and corn hole! We visited the play ground across the street and skipped rocks at the river too. The outdoor chairs were perfect for star gazing! We saw meteors! The bed was comfortable and the sofa bed was perfect for the boys. The hosts thought of everything! We’ll definitely stay here again with Alby and his family. They were hospitable without being too invasive. Love Casita Geoda!”

“Lived here for 2 years, we have had some issues but nothing any worse than what I read on Nextdoor App. when the manager sees you doing something against the rules yes, you will be sited. Unfortunately many residence break rules and do not get caught also our neighbors have accumulated trash outside (they do not use a trash service), their roach infestation became our problem! We have had to put cameras on the perimeter and at the door prompted by various reasons but like I text this is not unusual as NB crime rates are becoming rampant the cops do not care they just say go online and file a report that never gets follow up. Gwenda the manager does a fine job and is quick to respond.”
