“My first experience with Houk was a few years ago. I had some AC trouble where the unit wasn't cooling below 85 degrees. 3 other AC companies had already been out and said the unit was fine, just old and needed replacement. Calling Houk was a long shot, but I thought it was worth one more try since the other guys didn't seem to be very thorough. Houk came out the next day to take a look. The technician was in my attic for a grand total of 5 min when he came down and told me the unit was fixed. I was a little skeptical for sure, but sure enough cold air began to flow and the house began to cool right away. Turns out that some insulation inside the unit had come loose and had fallen over the main vent which restricted the airflow. It took someone spending an extra few minutes to be thorough and that saved me thousands of dollars for an unnecessary replacement! My 2nd experience was just today. I had a blower motor go out on me. I called Houk at 9:30a and they were at my house by 11:30a. Not only that, but they are going to be back out today to install the new motor! Great service! Would recommend them again. ”
