  I had the Philly with green beans, and they were both soooooo good. You get a lot of meat, and it's inexpensive. All of the employees were pleasant, and they work together and appear to enjoy working there.

  Love this place. Good food. A couple of complaints. They have tables in the middle and booths on the side. I now ask for booth because the tables are so high that one could just rack the food off in your mouth. Not good. The pies are not good. The coconut cream pie is flavorless. The chocolate pie has 2 inches of whipped cream, 3/4 inch of chocolate, and a thick hard crust. If you scraped out the chocolate there would be a couple of spoonfuls. Other food is great, just not good desserts. The rolls are excellent, but small, and costs for refills. In spite of all the negatives you should go there.

  From the moment you step through the door your taken back to when life was simpler. The service is warm the manager is a hoot and the food if your grandma could cook it is perfect. If she couldn't then your in for a treat. I don't care if is 1 mile away or a 1000 miles away you got to try this place. The chocolate pie is breath taking.

  It had been over 6 years since I visited the Jay Cafe. It is just as good as I remembered! Such a shame, since it's so close (7-8 miles) from me.
  The food is served fresh and homemade. Chicken fried steak is HUGE and Chicken fried chicken is crisp, moist, and perfectly fried with NO greasy taste. Gravy tastes homemade and not from the standard cream gravy mixes on the market. Servers are wonderful as well.
  They serve "blue plate" specials during the week at lunch as well as a breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday. Would love to see them offer breakfast all day!
  They also have a selection of homemade pies, cobblers, and chocolate layer cake. Wife had the coconut cream pie that she said was almost as good as mine...and my pre-diabetes busting chocolate cake was divine!
  Went 2 weekends in a row and will probably go this weekend as well! Check their website for the menu. You won't be disappointed!
  
  No...you are not seeing double...I LOVE their homemade fried okra!! And the protein is Chicken Fried Chicken Breast. Sooooo moist and tender, too!

  Have stopped here a few times. Always good. Today I had the chicken fried steak. It was really good. Great crust on it. Will definitely stop again when we're in the area.
