  I lived at bayou campground for over a year. The staff was great. I loved the fishing and atmosphere. There is a bath house with toilets and showers, incedentals could be bought in the office or at any of several nearby stores.
  In a nutshell, I miss Bayou Campgrounds and hope to be visiting soon.

  Regarding the review from Meredith Johnson, that is completely false information. I witnessed the occasion of you pushing your vehicle into the park, and heard the manager offer you assistance which you denied. I also know that you were never a registered guest. There are restroom and shower facilities for registered guests. I personally witnessed you speeding when coming into the park and putting the lives of the children that live and play here in danger which is why you were told by many registered guests to slow down. I also know that you are no longer allowed on the property due to not following the rules put in place to keep everyone safe. Also, there are NO guests that are in wheel chairs. The name is not deceiving as they allow RV camping as well as tent camping. At least they make sure that people who are guilty of drug and other suspicious activity do not stay at this campground! This is a very family oriented and quiet park and me and my children feel very safe and appreciate the job management does to keep it that way.

  If you like trees and gravel driveways, it's also by a bayou. You're going to like this place. Friendly landlords, quiet park.

  Very friendly staff, and very quiet place to stay. Would stay there again maybe this time for a vacation spot. It's only a little ride from Galveston thank you guys for everything.

  Spent a whole week here with my kids in the beginning of August. We stayed in a tent on a beautiful space under a tree. We'll be back!
  The view was awesome and peaceful. Loved getting up in the morning before the kids and relaxing by the Bayou. It was perfect distance from the hustle and price of Galveston .
  Check out Roger's malt shop right up the road( we found it too late, Dang) for breakfast lunch and dinner with ice cream to boot.
