This is truly a piece of American History! The museum educates people far and wide about the contributions of African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, and Women to the development of the American Western culture. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, they rely heavily on the support of tourism, sponsorship and the surrounding communities. So for those of you who care to preserve history please visit the museum and/or donate to their cause.

if you're looking for an authentic experience, this is it. It's very much choose your adventure: pony rides, chickens to feed, and a rich historical background to learn. The kind folk who live there and are true stewards of the land,. They were very accommodating and flexible to our preferences and group needs. Wanna take pictures on the tractor? Sure. Wanna sit in the living room and discuss the history of the west? Sure. The children have questions about animals? He was glad to explain. It was fun for kids and adults alike. And for the price, you'd have hard time coming up with something with better value. They appreciate calling ahead to schedule an appointment though, as It's where they live after all.

This spot is great for a fun and layed back family trip. There's a very authentic feel to the property, host and hostess. I found it to be more of a family ranch that has a lot of history to share rather then your typical museum.

You will enjoy playing with the chickens, seeing cows with awesome horns, bunny rabbits, horse rides, and getting a cool leather suvaneer. Call and book an appointment!
