“This is the oldest cemetery within Houston city limits and the resting place of John Harris. He's the dude that founded Harrisburg prior to Houston. When the Allen Bros came from NY they tried to purchase some of his land but didn't like the price so they moved on. Anyway, the cemetery is oddly located within a neighborhood and a train passes literally next to it.”

“Stumbled upon this small plot of land on a walk in the park, which has a deep feel of history, mystery, and awe. An original settlement of German immigrants lie here, and founded the Bear Creek area years ago. A quick walk from the main park road in Cullen Park, the fenced in grounds are surrounded by Spanish Moss trees. It’s a nice place to honor those who settled the area in what is now a reservoir, and appreciate the uniqueness of it.”

“I really truly loved The Cemetery Store. Sherry went beyond her duties to help me with finding where my aunt was buried to getting me squared away with just the right tombstone. The Tombstone was affordable and I got A-1 customer service and delivered to Stafford for a great low price. I can go on and on talking about how good everything was. I really appreciate her from the bottom of my heart.. Thanks once again..”

“My mom was buried at San Jacinto Memorial Park in 2011; however the funeral services were handled by a different funeral home. Recently my dad was diagnosed with Stage 5 Renal Failure and I decided to contact San Jacinto Funeral Home to obtain information about their services and pre-planning packages. An appointment was arranged with Ruben Garcia to meet my schedule. Ruben was extremely professional and very knowledgeable about the entire process. He responded to all of my questions/concerns, he presented all of their services and then allowed me to make my own decisions without any pressure to purchase any additional services/items. He patiently listened to the type of service I wanted for my dad. Ruben even met with me twice on the same day; the second time I brought my sisters so they could assist in the planning process. He explained, to my sisters, the same process he had explained to me earlier in the day; he patiently explained and answered their questions (even without knowing if we were going to use their services). Planning for a funeral is extremely difficult, however Ruben’s patience and compassion made the process much easier. He has even kept in touch asking about the family and my dad’s health. Thank you Ruben for assisting us in this emotional and difficult process.”
