“I had seen Burger Island a few times while driving by and today I decided to finally stop in to give them a try. I ordered and after a short wait I got my Bacon Cheeseburger Combo. This was a fantastic burger. I don't know how the McDonald's next door stays in business. Patty was well seasoned. Toppings were fresh. Bun was soft. Good bread to meat ratio. Fries were decent. Skin on. The seasoning was excellent. The larger fries were just a bit less crunchy than I like but the smaller ones were perfect. They weren't soggy just a little floppy. Felt like good value for my money. I will definitely be back.”

I went to Popeyes for their beans and rice, the regular size. It was a good, although not very healthy, alternative. It made me last through the afternoon and was reasonably inexpensive. Glad to have alternatives. I'm lucky!”

“I love this place! The staff are humble, nice and friendly folks. I usually go on Fridays or every other Friday for the Fish plate with green beans. The fish is light flaky and not too salty like other places I’ve tried. They play good music on Friday’s that’ll make you move and groove. I have tried the boudin egg rolls which are an interesting concept that doesn’t disappoint. They are soooooooo good y’all with the sweet and sour sauce. You get a great combo of sweet, spicy and savory. Today, I tried the strawberry lemonade and it is “woo weee” sweeeet! Lol. I definitely would recommend stopping by and trying it at least once. There is a little something for everyone to enjoy. I promise you’ll be coming back for more! C’est bon! 🤤”

“Only reason I am giving this place a 5 stars is because of their drive thru worker Sarah, I come there often and I have been seeing her majority of the time at the 2nd window. And seriously her customer service is spectacular and her kindness keeps me coming. I have had AWFUL experiences in the past at this and many more but to come to a fast food and actually get kindness and love is rare nowadays. Sarah you keep being you and your worth is beyond any means I’ve seen at a fast food. ☺️ She deserves recognition just like any good worker should! ❤️”
