(September 14, 2017, 8:08 am)This plant stayed operational even during the major flooding from Harvey and continuing to provide water to the people of Houston. Great educational center too for the public and used frequently by many local schools.
(September 13, 2017, 4:41 pm)This is the best water plant in the Houston area, by far. NO other water plant in the Greater Southeast Texas Region can even come close to competing. Since 2005, this plant helps provide water to the Houston metroplex and beyond by reducing reliance on groundwater. The NEWPP also has a wonderful WaterWorks Education Center hosted in the admin building, complete with classrooms and school tours!
