“Best kept secret off FM2978. I was quite surprised to walk in to a sports bar on a college football Saturday and I had my choice of places to sit. The place is clean, wings were great, quality TVs everywhere, and good service. Then I found out they had only been open for several months, made a little more sense. “I went in with a "buy 3, get 3 free" from HEB. I picked 3 different kolaches I wanted to try and got a second of each...total 6. These ranged in price from $2 -$3.50. When I got the bill it did not take 1/2 off. I asked about that and the clerk said it takes the lowest 3 off.. It did not say anything on the coupon to that effect so I was upset as she had already run my cc. She said it would take 10 minutes to correct and I could take just a seat. Well, GRRR! I then just asked her to void the sale altogether and return my coupn. After a few minutes the manager asked me to come over to another register. I explained the situation and she said I could have a refund, have it adjusted or better, she said she'd rather me have the kolaches, than not. So she filled my order and offered me some free kolaches of my choice. It seemed more than fair to me so I thanked her and told her we were regulars...but only after she (Connie) filled a box of yummies for me. This is the first and only time I've had a bad experience and was ready to steam up and they totally did the first rate customer service thing to do. I would have to say that they are totally customer centric. Nobody should lose a customer over a $2 (retail) item and if you just talk to them, they will probably make it right and then some.”

“If you're looking for a place with good food, good prices, and good service, the draft is the place. Been here both Sundays of the NFL season so far, and it's one of the best places in the area. Some of the other places get too busy, and not all of them are family friendly. The draft has the best of everything. It's worth a visit, plus they have any game you could be looking for.”

“I think this is the best brisket I've ever bought at a restaurant. I bought a little of everything on the menu, in hindsight I spend much more than the family pack, so not a great deal....but the brisket was so good. We ordered a pound and that was only 4 slices. It didn't seem like very much, but what we had was wonderful. We will order a lot more brisket next time. The roasted chicken was very good too.”

“Incredible BBQ! Everything is great here. This is BBQ on another level. I got the burnt tips sandwich and drizzled some of the BBQ sauce on it then dipped some sausage in the sauce too. Mac and cheese is delicious. I brought my family on a Sunday when it was busy and the environment at Deacon Baldy's was cool with nice dogs on leashes and kids enjoying the space too.”
