“It's a large, beautiful, wooded space, with plenty of grass to run and do their business. The bag dispensers and disposal cans help thoughtful owner's keep it clean. Dogs whose owner's just don't care have some privacy in the woods. Most dogs are friendly and get along well; a few a grumpy enough to be avoided, but basically a safe space for dogs to be dogs. Two ways for improvement: 1) the watering fountain is great but too often turned off, it would be good to add this status to the rainout line so owners know to bring their own. 2) closing the park for wet or muddy conditions cuts out energy-burning time; owner's don't need a well-groomed and grassy space, we want the mud. I'd be happy to help spread grass seed on rainy and muddy days to do my part to replenish turf.”

“Went to check out the facility for soon-to-visit friends and they were not disappointed. This place is within easy reach of so many area attractions- Ft Worth Stockyards, Bass Hall, Kimball Art Museum, The Botanical Gardens, the whole cultural center of Ft Worth. The facility is clean, quiet, kid friendly. You'll have a great time!”

“This is truly a great place to visit any time of the year! If you're looking to escape the busy streets of LA and looking for a quiet place to stroll, this is it. Descano Gardens is HUGE and very BEAUTIFUL! There are many picture opportunities for those that like to take shots of plants and gardens. Do pick up a map when you're there as you will need it to find all the different gardens here. Also try the mini train.... yes adults can ride it too!”

“My kids, ages 7 and 9, love this park! They love climbing on “the cheese thing” and sliding down the extra tall slides. We used to take them here when they were younger and they needed help with some of the steeper climbs or the monkey bars but now they can do it all by themselves. There are several benches around the play area for parents to sit and watch and a few picnic tables nearby. A lot of the park is covered which helps keep it more comfortable in the summer. The only drawback to this park is no swings, which my kids love, but there’re plenty of places to climb!”

“Great park for walking, hiking, biking, etc. There’s a playground and plenty of open field for activities. The only con is limited parking.”

“Currently under a massive construction overhaul but gorgeous veiw of Lake Arlington. Worth the walk through the construction zone to get to the park. Bathrooms are not currently open but it's still worth the trip. This place is perfect for star gazing at night and watching sunsets. Good fishing spots and always a few ducks. Watch out for the squirrels though. They are not afraid of people and will come right up to you looking for food.”

“I went for a birthday party and they told us to come to the Bicentennial Park. When we first got there, it was huge! But everything looked SO fun. Once we found where we were supposed to be (the playground) it was still huge but it had so many fun activities for the little ones and then by it, was a baseball field for the older kids. There were so ma.y other things that looked so fun! I hope we can go there again!”

“This is a nice little park. Has some shade to protect from the blazing summer sun, and a water fountain to help you cool off. It's probably big enough to have a covered area for small dogs to play off-leash.”

“What a nice "hidden" gem. It's hard to find great nature experiences in the middle of the suburbs, but this nature park does not disappoint. There are tons of cool outlooks and boardwalks and of course you can venture off into the woods if you like. It seems some people even fish here. Not my thing, but it might be yours! A great place to wander & get some fresh air.”

“I stop here to eat my brown bag lunch quite frequently. It's a very expansive park with excellent walking trails and ponds for viewing waterfowl and other wildlife. I've seen an osprey dive in and grab a goldfish which was pretty cool.”
Address: 6798 Southwest Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76116, USA
“The trails is beautiful. But if you want to park there you better get there early there's only 10 parking spots. There's no place to park after that. You can't park on the side of the road just those 10 parking spots. They need more parking!!! Waited for over 30 minutes for someone to come back to their car so I could park. Was too scared the park on the grass because I didn't want to be towed. Knew it would be at my expense. No handicap. That should be a necessity.”
