“Nice state park, the maps and trails are a little confusing tbh. They encourage you to get the map via a QR code instead of a paper one, and the paper one they do have has less info. But since you’re probably going to lose cellular service you might want to save the map or take a screenshot or something! And there are too many people here who do not have the right etiquette. We saw so much trash including beer cans just thrown into pools of water! And families with children blocking the trail (which crosses the river and is kind of narrow - so you really do need to wait for them to clear the area) plus the children screaming at the top of their lungs with the parents right next to them doing nothing at all. That said, the park is pretty nice and well maintained! Nice restrooms, nice picnic area and playground for children, helpful rangers and although the website suggests you print the day pass out, we showed them the online receipt and they gave us a printed out parking pass for the car Definitely do recommend buying your reservations online as the park fills up, especially on long weekends and holidays. Also ask the rangers for less crowded trails so you don’t have to deal with disrespectful people who don’t follow park rules!”

“Best park ever. We love coming here! Never very busy, plenty of parking, little kid playground and a big kid playground. There are baby swings, regular swings and saucer swings. There are two large pavilions and a big field with soccer nets. We absolutely love coming to this little gem!”

“First time I went to this park, I loved it. Did not like the boat just drove up to right where we were sitting, people and kids were around, not to mention the boat fuel smell was bad. They literally drove the boat up onto the shore. Maybe have a designated stop that does not interfere with families swimming around. Tide was low so we were able to be on the little island, long walk but was worth it for us. Will recommend and return.”

“Incredible views. Frequented often and always found friendly and inviting families. Several areas for play and sports as well as an extended trail behind it. The neighborhood has the best steepest inclines for running. On my jogs/walks cool, eclectic homes and people are always nice. The 5 neighborhoods that make up this area are pretty peaceful. Lots of wildlife, including deer.”

“Rained yesterday so the waterfall is flowing nicely. As you follow the trail downstream, you will find numerous spots on the creek to relax. Visiting after a recent rain is recommended - but wear hiking shoes because the trail can get muddy. Overall this is an Austin gem, definitely recommend!”
