Moviehouse & Eatery by Cinépolis NW Austin

Address: 8300 N FM 620 Bldg B, Austin, TX 78726, USA

Movie theater Restaurant

“I really enjoy seeing movies at the Movie House and Eatery in Northwest Austin on 620. It has the most amazing seats and the food service is very nice also. I don't go to all of my movies here but I certainly do when a plans for dinner and special movie comes out. I find that the service and food are both in the four plus star range and that there are certain dishes that really stand out, I have experimented around and really like the poke bowl for a fresh and nutritious option here. But they also have all of the standards you would want such as hot buttered popcorn, burgers, milkshakes, and pizza. I personally don't really drink, but the bar service and drinks that people order seem to make them very happy! ;-) I just have to say that the space and seating are the biggest plus factor for me. The Walk isles are very wide in between seats and even in a full reclined position you have plenty of room to walk in front of a seat if you have to go to the bathroom. The movies screen and projection are always very good. The only thing I have noticed, is the sound is a little weak here sometimes. If you want to go see a movie with a booming soundtrack and really want it cranking, might want to go to a different place for that experience. On the other hand, if you don't like how incredibly loud movies can be at certain places, this will work better for you. All in all this place falls into a four to five star rating for everything and one other thing I would say in closing, the staff and management always seem to be very friendly and happy and I believe that makes a place more fun to visit also. It reflects down to the customer experience level. Check it out. It's a great place for Operation Dinner and a Movie!!”

They are very nice there and respectful it's located inside the corner store so if you need to get a drink or other things as well you have the ability. I will definitely be coming back here because if they're enchiladas are this good I can't wait to try the rest of the food. Garbo's

Address: 12709 N Mopac Expy, Austin, TX 78727, USA

Restaurant

“New favorite place for clam chowder in Austin. It was perfectly creamy and tasty. I think it had bacon bits on top and those added a little bit of crunch. Lobster rolls were good but not great. They came with a generous portion of fries. Burger was pretty standard. The service was really quick and friendly. I did show up without a reservation on a Saturday evening and the wait was about 30 min for a table of three. They had a cozy seated waiting area so that was a nice touch.”

Flores Mexican Restaurant

Address: 4625 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, TX 78749, USA

Restaurant

“While I was alone on this visit, it is clear that this is truly a family friendly restaurant. Lots of shaded outdoor seating, spacious play area (no photos out of consideration to families with children at play), and staff that deliver outside and follow up. As I was alone, I sat at a table for 2 and had some great salsa/chile, and some great Chicken Enchilada Mole. The mole is a little less chocolaty than I prefer, but balanced seasoning, rich and creamy, on some wonderfully prepared chicken enchiladas. The Ofrenda for founders/grandparents was lovely too.”

Next is the people working there are super friendly and fun. We got the cheese garlic bread as an appetizer and I could of ate five more plates of it. The bread was soft and had lots of flavor. Last but not least the pizza is great. We got the meater deep dish and it did not disappoint. Looking for a chill place to get some pizza in Austin, this is it!”

“Absolutely fantastic! I ate here a couple of weeks ago and I will definitely go back! I had the Salmon Toast but everything looked amazing. I also got their protein iced coffee and it was the best I’ve ever had. I love how they used Vega protein it in (one of my favorite vegan proteins). I wish it was closer so I could come here more often! The service was also great. Employees were informative, real and very pleasant.”

The Boat

Address: 10931 Stonelake Blvd, Austin, TX 78759, USA

Restaurant

“The Oysters Rockefellers were the bomb! What a pleasant surprise! The combo basket was full of flavor. Chose fried catfish and fried shrimp with Onion Rings and Hush puppies. Huge portions, can be shared with 2 people. The seasoning was simple but effective. It wasn't as bland as I was expecting. Everything was really tasty. Service was excellent. There's a patio with a stage for live music on some evenings and a playscape for the kiddos! Food was pricey considering the location but still less than some places closer to the city. Definitely will be back once it gets nicer outside and can chill on the patio while kiddo plays. If only the highway view could be replaced with water and boats!!”

Oasthouse Kitchen + Bar

Address: 8300 N FM 620 e, Austin, TX 78726, USA

Restaurant

“Loved everything about our visit while we were in town! I especially loved that they have a playground next to it, though it is a city playground and isn't affiliated with the restaurant. They have easy access to it and my older kiddos (ages 8+ is good) liked it. A little too high for my 5 yo but it was great still. The food here was EXCELLENT, and the prices were super great. We had some appetizers, like the egg rolls and the beer bread. So so good. Had some drinks and we ordered the shepherds pie and the soup which were delicious. Also ordered some burgers, pasta, and Mac n cheese and everything was so tasty! I would come here again and again if we lived in the area. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was lovely!”

“The drive to get there through winding roads is beautiful. The place itself is lush and stunning. The many different stores and shops within all surrounded by gorgeous plants and flowers and amazing statues and wood sculptures. The wait in line to get in is well worth it. The whole entirety is just amazingly decorated. The staff is extremely superb and attentive. The food is just out of this world! I am just in awe of the beauty here. Not to mention the main attraction is the breathtaking view of Lake Travis while you dine outside. It's no wonder this is a local favorite! This being my first visit, I will definitely add this to my list of repeats! We'll done oasis!!!”

Santorini Cafe

Cafe Restaurant

“We came here for lunch last Saturday. It has a very comfortable vibe. The service was good and the owner was very friendly. I ordered the lamb gyro that came with a salad. I wanted more vegetables in the wrap, so I pretty much put the salad in the pita bread and it was delicious. My husband ordered the lamb plate and he liked eating Greek food that was more authentic than what he has had in the past. We ordered fries on the side that were tasty and we also got their donuts which are fried dough topped with cinnamon and honey, it was very good.”

“Great taco truck! I was recommended the quesobirria tacos. Bummer they don’t come individually and only in orders of three. I wanted to try more. The tacos were perfectly crispy and packed with cheese - good bang for the buck. The highlight of the menu were the salsas. A creamy green and dark red made the tacos pop and had tremendous flavor.”

Estrada's Texas Barbecue

Address: 10109 S Hwy 183, Austin, TX 78747, USA

Restaurant

“Disregard the sauce in sauce in the photo. I did the brisket disrespect by getting it that close. The brisket was moist and pull apart tender. It held together just enough to make this sandwich delicious. The post oak used wasn’t overwhelming and was nicely seasoned. It was fatty, but not overly greasy. They used what seemed like a Hawaiian bun which was great. Their onions were pickled and added a nice touch to the brisket. Not pictured is the sausage I was given. The regular was great and the jalapeño & cheese was delicious. Had my friend not pick this quaint unassuming food truck I would’ve never had given this place a try. Good food, great story behind the restaurant and close proximity to COTA, I can’t ask for more.”

Taco More

Address: 9414 Parkfield Dr, Austin, TX 78758, USA

Restaurant

“We stopped by after a quick search because the one place we found online was not only difficult to find in person but they also ran out of food somehow. We headed to Taco More instead. As we walked in, we noticed a clean restaurant with a choice of eating near the kitchen or a warm sun room. We chose the cooler area and were waited on immediately. We were specifically looking for birria tacos and quickly orders two plates along with ice teas and water. When you want ice tea here, they don't disappoint. You get a LARGE cup and probably for most it's big enough to take the rest with you. We also ordered shrimp soup, beef fajita tacos, and a bacon cheese burger. For our app we order guacamole. The guac was fresh and delicious and their salsa that came with the chips were crema and a chili type salsa. Both delicious and spicy. The shrimp soup came with fresh slices of avocado, tortilla chips, and a homemade broth. You never know what you'll get at some restaurants but I was so pleasantly surprised that they have their own homemade soup full of flavor. My son did not say a single word while he ate his fajita tacos. He was so happy with them. The burger was ooey gooey with cheese and looked so good, not like some reheated frozen burger or anything but rather they took the time to make it their own. And our birria tacos? Well, WOW. Amazing. Dipping into the sauce only enhanced them with the chopped cilantro and onions. Perfecto! The waitress was so attentive and sweet. We definitely found our home for homemade Mexican dishes and tacos. This is not some bland Mexican place with your typical sauces and bland meats. Instead, every dish is full of flavor and freshness. And get this, their rice was steaming fresh and glistening instead of dried rice made hours prior. We can't wait to go back!”
