“These guys are the best. This past Sunday (April 22) a crew from Star Flight flew in and evaced me from the Colorado River bottom 8 miles north of Bend, Texas at Ravens Bluff. This crew was able to locate our camp when no one else could and landed in a clearing barely large enough to set down in. The crew got to me quickly, got me loaded and triaged very quickly. These guys were exceptionally professional, good humored and made a really crappy situation the best they could. All I can say is I hope it never happens again, but if I need them Star Flight is the best. Thank you guys! Stay safe and thank you for all you do!!!!”

“Balcones Books is a small, cozy shop where you can get lost in their selection. This ain't a big box store store so it's a place where you'll want to spend some time browsing. The owner was very nice and easy to talk to; If you're looking for something specific he will be able to point you right to it and its relevant section of the store. Otherwise just browse their floor to ceiling shelves and you're bound to find something good.”

“Small but well equipped country club with a golf course, gym, pool, playground, golf shop, babysitting service, restaurant, bar, locker room, meeting areas, and a bit more. The facilities are nice but showing their age. The staff are incredible, gracious, helpful, and patient! They are five stars. The restaurant is decent with a typical selection of appetizers and entrees. This is a good place to hold a wedding reception. We didn't use the golf course so I can't comment on that.”
