“The acceptable final results of the engine transplant project performed by the Mercury Charlie's crew was marred by their consistent inability to return phone calls or communicate during the process. Most recently I had a time-critical question for Chris regarding his choice of some engine components. I called early in the week and spoke with owner's daughter Roxie, who assured me Chris would call just as soon as he finished a phone call he was on. 4 days and one additional phone message followup later, I finally got a call at end of day on Friday. By then I had long since given up and just had to make my own decisions without input from Chris. Looking back during the estimated "two week" project which stretched into over 2 months (and final cost some 60% greater than the initially discussed high range), I was reminded that on numerous incidents I NEVER received a return call for messages left either on voice mail or with the receptionist. On the other hand, the finished project was generally completed in a professional and knowledgeable manner. There aren't many shops left that do this kind of work, and I recognize and appreciate that. On the positive side, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Chris made a personal end-of-day trip to my house with some replacement ignition parts, several weeks after I took possession of the completed project and he even offered to re-install my spark plugs (I declined.. I'm not yet completely helpless). They are clearly trying hard. I'm confident that remaining issues will soon be resolved. Phil A. Dripping Springs”

“Diamond Select Roofing have proven to be the best! After a local hail storm in 2015, we were inundated with roofers wanting our business. I almost signed with a national company but at the last moment had doubts. When I wanted more time to decide they turned very nasty. That’s when I met Mac and his lovely wife Donna. They were a breath of fresh air! Mac and his team got my roof redone quickly and helped with other damage we had. But here I am writing a review several years later, why? Because they have also proven to stand behind their work. I. This day and age that’s amazing. I hope I don’t experience another hailstorm anytime soon. Ha! But if that happens or if I need a roof inspection for any reason, I’m so happy that I can call on Mac and his team!”

“Briarwood is a wonderful place to detox. The staff are all incredible. I sailed through detox as if I were not detoxing. They are all highly professional and super kind. I was thoroughly appreciative of their care. The facility is very nice. From other patients input, I gather that this is the nicest place around. And, Briarwood is replacing all of their mattresses, so you can get a great nights rest. The food is great. The chef is timely and prompt with meals. I greatly appreciated the care I received at Briarwood!”

“It would be difficult to say enough positive things about Jenny Phillips / JM Phillips Properties Group. When my wife and I decided we were ready to begin the search for a rural / ranch property sometime in 2016, we met and enlisted Jenny to aid us in the endeavor. Our criteria was fairly stringent: large property, within 1.5 hrs of Austin, live water, plenty of trees, variation in elevation.. and affordable. A tall order to be sure. So tall, as a matter of fact, that it took 4 years. And, not for a lack of trying. Jenny kept up with the listings - new and older - along with us. She would actively look and watch for property that matched our criteria.. regularly bringing possible matches to our attention. But, she was never, ever pushy. She never encouraged us to lower our standards or change our vision. She remained active, but always patient. Until one day in early 2020 - the right listing came along. Once we found the property that we had been looking for.. then the real work (especially for Jenny) began. There was a quite a list of items to tend to: price negotiation, inspections and survey work, title work, mineral rights and other legal paperwork, etc. Jenny guided us through the somewhat daunting process with an attention to detail and a patience that really made the entire process painless.
