“If you're looking for one of the car shops you see on TV with a crew of 10-15 people and big-name sponsors interested in advertising their corporations, look elsewhere. Ramsey's Rods is a small professional hot rod and restoration shop that provides award-winning personalized and detail-oriented work. Ramsey's did a 2-1/2 year restoration project on my 1963 Chevy ll, which is now a winner in all show categories. I first met with the owner Mr. Ramsey and shop manager Kelly about the ideas I had for my car. We created a plan with costs and revised it until everything was to my liking. I had a second meeting the following week to discuss a timeline and to meet Mrs. Ramsey, the business manager, to discuss fee schedules, payments, and the overall contract. The project contract included paint and body, electrical, general mechanical fees, and paperwork. As the restoration moved forward, the shop manager kept me updated with emails and photos. I was always welcome to drop by for “shop talk,” especially since I'd decided to change the strategy from "let's just get the car running" to "let's get the car running and transform it into a show car." Any unsatisfactory reviews appear to have been posted by people who didn't read or understand their contract. I’m very pleased with work done on my vehicle and highly recommend Ramsey's Rods for your restoration project.”

“Great little auto repair shop. I do most of my own repairs, so only pay someone to work on my car infrequently, if I don't have time or the job is too big or requires special tools, etc. But it's great to have someone you can trust when you do need repairs. I recently had some AC issues. I couldn't figure out the problem and finally had to call in a pro, so I brought my car to Bruce. He got me in pretty quickly and was able to diagnose the problem quickly, even though I wasn't in a hurry to get my car back. (I did need the air conditioning fixed, however, cuz you know, it's Texas). It ended up being a pretty simple fix, but it was an intermittent problem, which makes it VERY tough to diagnose. Bruce is an honest and trustworthy guy, so he only charged me for his time, which was super reasonable. This is exactly the type of problem that many less scrupulous auto repair shops could fleece you for. No worries here that Grease Monkey will sell you some unnecessary repairs just to make a buck. If you need a reliable mechanic, give them a call. It's a bit hidden, but the owner does most of his business from personal referrals, so he's not worried about being hard to find. He's by appointment only, so call first.”

“Good parts but slow service. They won't pull the part until you are waiting for it. It took over an hour for them to pull a radiator and inner fender from a 2004 honda civic. And they will not take payments over the phone so they can pull it before you get there. I am a business owner and really don't have that kinda time to wait.”

“Didn't know where to go for lunch. Thought about Portillos. Thought about Longhorn (didn't see many people there), but kept going. Saw Applebees and haven't had that in awhile. Not many cars in the parking lot (sounds good!). Came in and went to the bar. Waited a couple minutes and was greeted by Davona. She was sweet and kept up with drinks (water and tea). Looked through then menu and decided on the Four-Cheese Mac &Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders. Glad I went with that. Sweet, cheesy and a little on the salty side and the chicken was perfect. So delicious! Also came with a bread stick and surprisingly that was good and well seasoned. For the price, it was worth it! Will be back! Also, I can watch Cubs game here! Of course there was a rain delay for them today.”
