“I want to preface this with the fact that I have not visited this office, am not a patient, nor have I worked with the primary psychiatrist. My review is for a new nurse practitioner, Emily Davis. She previously worked with me at the Holiner Psychiatric Group and I couldn’t say enough wonderful things about her. Most people that are unfortunate (like myself) to deal with a mental illness know that it’s not the stigma of people knowing that we have a mental illness that bothers us-it’s the fact that very few professionals actually CARE. Over at the Holiner fast food, one size fits all group, the staff is exceedingly rude, will NEVER call you back, and often times they would forget what they had prescribed me. That was never the case with Ms. Davis. She always made me feel very comfortable, welcome, and, most importantly, that she truly cared about my needs and was trying to help me get to a good place. I take nearly the smallest dose of Xanax possible and have 20 pills a month, and she was the only person at that office that didn’t make me feel like some sort of “junkie” when I asked to get my prescription refilled. Honestly, there’s nothing more embarrassing than that, as a grown adult, to be talked to as if you’re some sort of “addict”, when, in reality, you just found something that helps you get through the bad days (in 2020-thats most days). That’s what real healthcare workers do. Based on a lot of feedback about the *other* psychiatrist, it’s no wonder they can’t keep good staff members. If you are on the fence about visiting the Preston Hollow Psychiatric Group, I’d recommend them based on Ms. Davis alone. Clearly, they hire quality health care professionals.”

“I met Dr. Kanamalla on a Tuesday morning in December, 2005. He was working in Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. I woke up feeling fine that day, I just had a minor headache. After taking my daughter to school, my headache became so bad I was vomiting, slurring and having trouble with my vision. My niece called 9-1-1, and I was transported to St. Joseph's hospital, then rushed to Temple Hospital. At this point, I was still conscious and very scared. I refused to go to sleep for fear of dying. Dr. Kanamalla came to me, he calmly explained exactly what was happening-I was having a brain aneurysm, and it may habe ruptured. He then explained what the outcome would be if I didn't allow him to do his job. I trusted him and went to sleep, and awoke to his voice. He checked on me every day that I was in the hospital. He saved my life. He is now in Dallas, and I hope that people in Dallas seek him out for his services. He is an exceptional doctor and I will always be greatful to him!!”
